My biggest problem with modern gaming is BY FAR and away photorealism. I cant stand it, man. Give me a unique art style any day of the week ffs. I hate your photorealistic graphics. Its boring, and it hurts my eyes. The limitations of 2000s graphics were such a blessing. They just look aesthetically better to me. I dont care how many pixels your new triple A slop has. Its played out beyond belief.

This girl wants to work? Give her her farm and she'll be working alright. She'll be working her @ss off like she never knew existed. I've done farm work and it's no joke hard work. As a matter of fact farmers in the past have often died younger because the work is so hard on a person.

As a voice actor this terrifies me. I net Peter Cullen in person this summer and discussed it with him and his only hope for the time being was his belief that humans will place greater value on art made by humans, but other than that he wasn't sure the future. Its terrifying to dedicate your life to a craft to something that the capital ownership class possess the ability to replace and invalidate your contributions to the humanities. It's the polar opposite of the utopian future imagined by the Jetsons where humans live in luxury thanks to the more arbitrary physical work being handed off to technology we now instead are being forced to do the physical work while machines cheaply mimic the best creativity. Very dark.

Im glad he's doing better. I know this feeling all too well. I have cherished the lives of many animals in my life and its absolutely nerve racking when something like this happens. My boy has cost me over 14 grand from multiple surgeries. I know its crazy and probably dumb but I fucking love him and I wouldn't ever be able to live with myself if I had the means to do something but chose not to just to save money. Unless there is no hope I will lie cheat and steal to save my babies and there is nothing anyone is going to do to stop me.

Im at 7:16 so far. I appreciate the attempt to balance the viewpoints between the polarization. However, I find your example of Quiet as weak. So what if she's fan-service? The idea that making sexy female characters cool = appeasing the insecure misfits is not supported. They didn't like Samus. They didn't like Laura Croft. They didn't like the portayals of strong women in entertainment who had "overly sexual" features. It's hard to take the likes of Anita seriously when she uses Overwatch characters as an example of "sexism against women and titillating the male gaze". There has to be fat body types. Monstrous female species. Who the f×ck knows what else there "should" be? It's never enough to appease a demographic that can't even look themselves in the mirror 😂

"Ranting about AI art" Why is this the title for a video about split screen video games? And yeah, I think split screen would be better with how big tvs are these days, but even then.... you'd probably have to build a partition in your house to stop the other player knowing exactly where you are. The levels on goldeneye where you could walk through the wall, were completely pointless. Because the other player knows exactly what wall you just walked through. XD

Coming from a family whose business was home building, I found myself dumped out on the streets of Anchorage because my parents thought I should be out of the house or married at age 18. They were of the Great Depression/WWII era - thought everybody should be self-reliant at age 18 but not everybody is ready especially those without marketable skills or eligible spouses. Some marry anybody just out of desperation. Being sold in human trafficking (as a way to survive) and living in a POS car at minus 20 degrees below F - and learned self-reliance the hard way. I found temporary waitress and office jobs and lived in POS apartments - ready to give up - I got rescued from planned suicide by a caring individual. Never drank or did drugs. Law enforcement threatened me daily. Parents died without even one apology - so yes, there are many factors for homelessness - the biggest one is horrible or non-existent parenting and housing, lack of financial viability (biggest factor), then add in foster homes abuse, veterans with disabilities - basically thrown-away people. America HATES poor people, and they especially HATE the homeless. These days I donate food and clothing to the homeless agencies. And then I watch the illegals by the millions being given housing, food, medical care and money. Karma is a bitch though - America is going to get its ass kicked violently hard for spending billions overseas while their LEGAL citizens suffer on American streets. And it DESERVES its fate.

This genuinely isn't specific to men, though. I've had several girlfriends who were somewhat to very insecure about my previous partners, shocked by a bodycount, etc. I think it's due to the expectations movies, songs, etc. set up for people. I'm sorry but once you're past your early twenties, it's highly unlikely that the people you meet never had a satisfying relationship with someone else, if only for a time. And unless you have are an absolutely exceptional human being, chances are some of those people were "better than you" on some criteria : bigger breasts / dick, slimmer / more muscular, taller, with a prettier face, richer, more artisitically gifted, whatever. What you need to keep in mind is that they no longer are with these people, probably for good reason. So whatever qualities they may possess objectively don't matter, since those evidently didn't make a difference in their breakup. And they certainly didn't make a difference in your partner meeting you and deciding to get into a relationship with you. Your partner chose to do that, that's all that matters. And btw, while we're at it, if your partner only has bad things to say about their exes, that's not really a good sign either.

Vaush's conclusions on the EFF and Malema are painfully misguided and anti-socialist. The only way to understand what the EFF is is a continuation of the anti-apartheid struggle, supporting policies that the ANC themselves once held such as expropriation without compensation. The end of apartheid was met with major compromises with the white elite, forcing the ANC to relinquish their desire to impede on white capital in exchange for political rights and societal integration, meaning questions of land and the economic inequalities generated from decades of racial segregation were completely abandoned. That is to say, economic segregation continued and very much so continues today. The ANC's new conception of reparations was now not one of land reform, but to simply promote "black economic empowerment", or affirmative action measures mandating a certain amount of black people on corporate boards. Solong as a very few amount of black people were able to become wealthy capitalists themselves (many of them leaders within the ANC such as Jacob Zuma who is a billionaire himself), this was to the ANC reparations solved. Yet, this never solved the racial economic disparities, as such inequalities are painfully present today. White people TODAY in South Africa still control over 65% of the country's wealth being around 10% of the population, with black people holding merely 5% of the wealth that white people do while making up 80%. The top 10% of South Africans hold 86% of the wealth and the top 0.1% own 1/3. South Africa also suffers from a high degree of youth unemployment, with 45-65% of young people not having work, most of which are black people. These hyper intensive disparities are a direct result from the apartheid regime and the primitive accumulation of white capital that was not impeded on in the dissolution of apartheid. It is precisely these dispossessed and underprivileged peoples that make up the base of the EFF, for which their policies directly speak to their material conditions. Yes, Malema's rhetoric is sometimes inflammatory and reckless, he himself has acknowledged many of his mistakes in his early years. I would please invite anyone to watch his many speeches and interviews that don't get this uproar from corporate media, as he speaks very clearly on the historical necessity of their policies, the movement they are part of, and he has continuously clarified that their grievances are not with white people themselves (as many white people do in fact vote EFF and hold elected positions in the party), but it is with white capital and the current racialized economic regime. The accusations of him being a fascist are totally unfounded, he never resorts to social conservative nationalist sentiment, it is always a discussion of material conditions. The reactionary elements of the Afrikaans community in their shielded racism consistently ignore such arguments and facts, as they continue to smear him as this unreasonable fanatic instead of the man seeking to address the very real socio-economic problems in the country. Any critiques of Malema absolutely should not distract us from the very necessity of land expropriation, as invoking the question of the property regime rooted in inequality is exactly what any socialist ought to do. Vaush indicating his objection to uprooting this racialized economic system in South Africa makes this a precisely anti-socialist and reactionary position. Time to do some serious research instead of these half-assed Wikipedia readings.
