There is more to playing QB in the NFL than being a great athlete. One can run fast, one can throw the ball a long way, and still not be a good QB. Justin Fields is a case in point. He is not a winner. Just compare him to Brock Purdy. Who is a better athlete? Fields. Who is the better QB by far? Brock Purdy. What Purdy can do that Fields cannot do are as follows: 1. he can read a defense, and 2. he can throw the ball more accurately, and 3. he can anticipate where the receiver is going to be before he throws the ball, and 4. he can thread the ball into a tight window, and 5. he thinks faster, more clearly than Fields does on the field of play. And the NFL's opinion of Purdy was so low that he was drafted as "Mr. Irrelevant"--the very last pick of the NFL draft. And yet he is the best QB in the NFL, or certainly one of the very best. The Bears have a better QB on their roster than Fields. Like Purdy, he will get no chance to play unless Fields gets hurt. But Tyson Bagent out-played Fields when he took over for the injured Fields. He thinks better. He understands the game better. I don't know what the Bears will do, but I think that Caleb Williams is not the answer for the Bears. I KNOW that Justin Fields is not the answer for the Bears. But what Poles will do, I do not know. I do know what I'd do if I were the Bears GM: 1. I'd trade the #1 pick for a haul of draft picks, and 2. I'd have a real QB competition in camp, not just give the job to the favorite boy, and 3. I'd be looking to pick up someone who can manage the Bears offense. Cleveland picked up Joe Flacco and almost rode him to the Super Bowl. But trust Justin Fields to take this team anywhere except to another losing record, NO WAY. Justin Fields is a loser. Just look at his NFL record.
@wgfinley9 ай бұрын
The problem with asking these guys who are giving observations on a ton of teams is having firm knowledge on them all. Billick says "you just got him," no, they didn't, he's three years in, you have to decide if you're picking up the 5YO or not. He also didn't know if Justin had Walsh's "24 games" in or not, he's got 40. So, respect the knowledge but tough for these guys to know all the nuances of every situation.

Total buzz kill until the teams got on yhe field and the ball was snapped. I think a simple solution would be if you kick it out of the back of the end zone the ball is spotted at the 35. If you hit the end zone and bounces out its at the 20. So its that or we get a return.
