I got the vibe after the first couple of games that Moore hates Caleb. Definitely had more chemistry with Fields. Caleb is that new guy who gets hired at a shitty job, and he's really excited kissing everbodys ass. You try to convince him bro it sucks here, but he doesn't listen and he finds out himself learning the hard way.

Any QB the bears would have drafted would have been ruined. Just like the browns and jets. When was the last time you seen a bears player held accountable? They say whatever they want to the media, have poor body language, give up on plays. Andy Reid and belichick would not allow any of this.

The defense was looking like a Super Bowl caliber defense last year. The timeline to develop a QB and possessing a SB ready defense don’t match up. CW struggled with the fundamentals in a mediocre college conference. He played hero ball which looked impressive. Poles and Eberflus believed CW would have a CJ Stroud type rookie season. They bought the hype like children. JF might not be a top 5 QB but I believe he would have been a top 6-10 QB. Kemet and DJM had career years for a reason. The Chicago media of ten said that is despite JF which doesn’t make sense. JF’s numbers were still progressing. In 2023 We scored 40 against Washington which had Chase young and Montez Sweat. We scored 26 at Arizona. 28 and 26 against the Lions who was the second best team in the NFC last year. We dropped 3 games last year in which we had over a 90% win probability in the 4th quarter. JF is the most scrutinized QB I’ve ever seen. When he stopped turning the ball over the media attacked time to throw average which is a flawed stat in the way the Chicago media presented it. The Chicago media was never satisfied with him. He did not play his best ball in Pittsburgh I believe his confidence was shaken but he won games, 4-2 to be exact. He’s 8-4 in last 12 starts. The Bears were gaining momentum at the end of 2023. Poles and Eberflus didn’t have the foresight to recognize how the story was playing out. They reset the team and there will be growing pains.

I think you are looking at Fields with rose-colored glasses. I wanted it to work out with Fields but it was obvious he was not the guy. In a lot of games he was borderline unplayable. He was bad in both games against the Packers and Vikings (they won the one against the Vikings but he barely outplayed Josh Dobbs who played so bad that game that he was benched afterwards). He also played awful against the Chiefs, the Browns, and Tampa Bay. He played well in both Lions games but that’s because Detroit could not contain him in the pocket. And if you could somewhat keep Fields in the pocket and play quarterback, then Fields would looked brutal. Fields drop back is slow, his release is slow, his pocket presence is poor, his accuracy is inconsistent, his field vision is abysmal and his sense of timing and anticipation was poor. The rest of the league told you what they think of Fields when the most they were willing to offer was a 6th round pick. With Caleb I think it’s going to take more time than fans expected. He’s a rookie. Two years ago that used to mean give it till year 3 because it was common knowledge that learning how to play quarterback in the NFL is extremely difficult

This is what happens when you put personal relationships before the team….polls should have fired Matt at the end of the season…if he couldn’t bring Justin along then why would you trust him with another rookie…as a coach you’re main job is to develop players…and your qb is the most important of all the players on the team…this why it baffled me to keep him and he has no offensive strategy to teach the young qb

I would say that even when they were losing last year. The team played harder and did have all this drama, and had a tight nit locker room. This is the reason most of the players didn't want Justin traded because he was a leader in that locker room.

It’s weird how much people are overrating how Justin Fields was last year. Bears won 5 out of 13 games when Fields started and most of the losses were because Fields played poorly. He could have a nice run here and there but his drop back was slow, his release was slow, his pocket presence was poor, inconsistent accuracy, and he was abysmal at reading the field. He’s finally on a team with one of the best coaches in the league and he benched Fields in favor of a qb who’s well past his prime.

I think caleb has potential but he does not rip it to his wrs he has 3 good ones all qb friendly. Dj moore has played with lesser qbs and has had way more success. Dj is pissed he probably thinks caleb is trash especially since Justin gave him a career year.

He has 5 capable weapons at his disposal (3 WR, 1 TE and RB). Now I’m not saying Caleb is a bust but it can’t always be the line or the OC. One of the weapons should be open. He probably just not where they thought he was. His pro day should have been an indicator that he couldn’t hit the deep pass. It is probably why he didn’t throw at the combine.
