Yeah it is. Love this whole thing. It's addicting to watch over and over again. 1 - I am looking for easy to implement phrases that can be expanded 2 - I wanted something that was a slight variation of the typical bebop stuff i had been doing at that time. Hope this helps explain it.

That's so true! This is elvins signature licks! I know this because I transcribed Elvin's Black Nile solo. If you listen to that track you can hear it at half of the form.
