@Danny P I've rewatched the first five movies more than 6, 7, 8, and 9 combined. You don't have to drop a franchise like a deuce in the toilet just to "keep things interesting". Baby driver could've easily been another heist movie like Fast and Furious, but it stands out with its writing and music without going to space or having genetically enhanced humans.
@agentsus96812 жыл бұрын
@Danny P It never was though. Even if the heists in the first films weren't big, they had a different tone each time. Like the first had a different feel than the second and fourth, and the third was completely different. The fifth was like the grand climax and what should've been the end of Fast and Furious. That's exactly how bands will have a signature sound, but will have albums that sound unique when compared to each other. Whatever. Takeaway from here is new FF bad.

When Dom said, "I got your shrimp" it definitely reminds me of the other famous quote said by him in the later movies, "I got family." It shows that Dom is caring and compassionate to those who got his back like when Brian rescued him regardless of their first impressions of each other in their first ever race. Had Brian not being a cop as an occupation to infiltrate (movie plot) and just being a legit street racer dude he would've still saved him since it was a sort of "racers pride" to not let you or a fellow street racer get caught. When this movie came out, there’ was a slight buzz about the street racing sub culture in New Jersey but it was more pedestrian and not as glamorous as the movie made it out to be. Most of the actual cars involved in street racing were basic looking and didn’t have all of the neon lights and colorful decals on the cars like they had in the movie. Those dudes focused on the performance of the car rather than how it looked, and there was absolutely ZERO hot girls involved. The other thing people in general didn’t realize was that street racing was genuinely dumb. Sure it’s cool to drive fast and get that rush of winning a race like that but it’s not worth it in the long run. It’s expensive for your average 17-25yr old dude to maintain this hobby consistently and the risk of damaging your car, getting yourself hurt in a serious accident, or going to jail isn’t worth the trouble. Street racing is simply dumb ‘’kids” stuff you do when you’re younger and anyone doing shit like that in their 30s - 40s is someone holding onto something that’s pretty damn lame. Racing in general isnt dumb and If you want to race, go to an official race track.

That cool of yours comment was so on point, you notice people don’t give a f about your feelings when you are down but if you are always there to cheer em up and be funny even when you don’t feel like yo they’ll be around. I noticed that in my workplace 😔
