To celebrate World Space Week we're uploading clips from Wonders of the Universe with Professor Brian Cox. Brian takes a face distorting trip in a centrifuge to explain how it is that gravity achieves its great power. Starting with the gravity on Neptune, Jupiter and then off to the extreme gravity of newly discovered Exoplanets.
Having explored the wonders of the solar system, Professor Brian Cox steps boldly on to an even bigger stage - the universe. Who are we? Where do we come from? For thousands of years humanity has turned to religion and myth for answers to these enduring questions. But in this series, Brian presents a different set of answers - answers provided by science.
This is a channel from BBC Studios who help fund new BBC programmes. Service information and feedback: www.bbcstudios.com/contact/co...

Hmmm 5 G aye ! Thats 250 mph; escape velocity for a rocket going to space is 25,000 mph which is 100 G, so if those guys can bear 100G and Cox cant even bear 5G, that makes him a wimp who wont be booking any of Richard Branstons space tours, i mean even Tim Peak managed to play a game on his smart phone while traveling at 100G. Or maybe they just dont put people in rockets ..

my question is, does the spinning make him feel bad or is it the force of the gravity and if we can simulate higher gravitational acceleration on earth from a spinning apparatus, does that mean you would feel dizzy on another planet due to higher gravity? or does higher gravity feel the same as being spun around on a merry go round?
