Angel Gutierrez in all honesty though the Americans didn't decide to just join in when things looked rough for Britain, they joined in because of an attack on Pearl Harbour by the Japanese. Correct me if i'm wrong but as far as i know America had no intentions of helping until Japan forced their hand. Also saying Americans saved the Brits downplays the sacrifice that Russia made where for every 1 US solider that died around 80 Soviet soldiers did. Without Russia it's quite likely that both the US and the UK would have fallen due to the Germans having advanced technology and a strong military. Russia was 100% the deciding factor in WW2, not America.

I once talked with an F-15 pilot who said he did a 45-second centrifuge run at NINE g. In order to fly the Eagle, you have to hold 9g for 15 seconds, but this guy said he held it for 45, after which his body was completely exhausted by every measure. I can't even IMAGINE how difficult that must be.
@MrHeroicDemon2 ай бұрын
?????? This is only 2.7 - 4g max, what are you saying. There is no way without a suit he did 9g LMAO. Clearly 33 others didn't do highschool science either. They also did an "explosion" using a chemical, and then switched it for special effects and got real explosives since potassium or sodium metal wasn't that cool looking plooping into water. LMAO.
@JETZcorp2 ай бұрын
@MrHeroicDemon Who said anything about "without a suit"? Dude was an F-15 pilot, doing F-15 training in US ANG F-15 flight gear. Of course he had a G-suit. 9G is the standard for USAF-type fast-movers. The F-15, F-16, F-22, and F-35 are all 9G airplanes and the pilots need to be able to deal with that. I know the requirement for light-grey F-15 fleets is 15 seconds; I'm not sure about the others.

Getting dizzy works a little bit different, is has nearly nothing to do with the visuals at all. It works with the fluid inside of the balance system. Imagine it as if you stir your coffee, if you remove the spoon the coffee is still moving, in the direction you stired, this effect can be achieved by just spinning the cup without the spoon. Same in the balance system, the fluid moves even after the actual movement and bends the hairs even without a physical movement.

The guys in the middle need to be spinning records to bring it to the next level

They didn't even give him a G-suit. That's unfortunate

Because the sit in the middle. The whole G thing is basically caused by torque. Torque is τ=F*l where F is the force, in this case the speed by the machine that rotates, and l the distance between the force and the object on which the force is applied, the length of roll bars here. So while Clarkson which is 5-6m away the the center of the machine which moves feels 5+ Gs, the guys in the center feel 1/5 or less of this power. Which is fine.

Isn't there a way to resist passing out (Of course, it only works to a certain point)? I've seen pilots do this weird grunting thing when they're taking hard corners so I'd imagine you could try to do the same here.
