The guy I feel bad for in all this is Tommy Devito. Because they obviously selected him to stay on at #3 knowing that they couldn't even be confident to have him at #2. Honestly, it's not enough to say whether you want to bench DJ or not. There needs to be a reason behind it, what are you trying to accomplish? I believe Daboll’s continuing support of Jones is to use him as a scapegoat, deflection and as “cover” to mask Daboll’s own shortcomings as a head coach.The Giants week after week are unprepared to compete in the NFL. Poor game decisions, endless stupid penalties, bad personnel decisions ( remember no kicker for Washington game) etc. all falls on Daboll’s lap. Shoen and Daboll are both “rookies” in their roles and it shows ( Hard Knocks also showed their amateur skills IMO). Jones, Daboll and Shoen all must go and Mara has to stop hiring/elevating “wannabes” and finally hire an experienced, proven GM and HC…..and yes, before we draft a QB.
