I first heard this on a bootleg in 1981. I bought it just for this song. I loved Warm Jets & Tiger Mountain and had them when they were new albums, but I've always thought that this song was his best one from this all-to-brief period of his career.

Re. the comment about him being forced to tour by his record company- in 1974, he and The Winkies played Derby- I was in Stoke, 35 miles away, could have gone, decided to wait till he came to Stoke, which the bleeder never did.....I did see The Winkies on their own, the same year, at the George Hotel in Burslem...

Martin Gore was like that too though..super talented and one of the most revolutionary musicians but was not that guy to shake it all over like Dave. Vince Clark..even Dr Dre mentioned that. They are super artsy and intense but can also not want to be all out there👍I thought Eno was trying to be like this on purpose though. I did not even think he could have been nervous. I watch Brian Ferry a lot and Eno. Like trying to study them. Super different kind of artsy.. Actually so weird you study to see if it’s on purpose🤣

Well, I read an interview to Eno where he complained that in the Roxy Music days he couldn't get any action because the groupies assumed he was gay. So, yeah, I think "calling BS on the three of them" is the correct take.

It was a stand alone single that was later included in a box set of his vocal music that was released along with a box set of instrumentals. Some time in the late 1980s l think. The b-side is a cover of 'The lion sleeps tonight'.
