Pyjamarama is my favorite Roxy song, their early material was amazing, and Phil Manzanera's Guitar playing always haunted me and still does to this day, Sublime 🤘
@LucyOLastic3 күн бұрын
Roxy were unique in pop simply because none of their songs had choruses! Intriguing titles. Great intros and fades. Pyjamarama has possibly the most unique melody ever composed for a rock song. It sounds like nothing else I have ever heard before or since.

Pajamorama: - I remember listening to this track in the early ‘70’s, whilst waiting for my friend to ‘phone me back - he became my husband of 48 years. In those early days I called him my ‘ Cherub’ because he had dark curly hair and big blue eyes. He died this year - thanks for sharing this track & for the memories it has evoked- love, JaneR ❤

He suffers from aspergers syndrome and his fixation on them is part of his autism. We both travelled up to see them perform in Wembley in 2001. It converted me to appreciate their music though I didn't like them as a teenager in the early 70s.
