Brian Eno is a British musician, composer, producer, visual artist, and theorist, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary music. Born on May 15, 1948, in Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, Eno first gained recognition as a member of the glam rock band Roxy Music in the early 1970s. However, it was his subsequent solo career and innovative production work that propelled him to legendary status.
Eno is credited with pioneering ambient music, a genre characterized by atmospheric and textural compositions that aim to create immersive sonic landscapes. His seminal album "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" (1978) is often considered a cornerstone of the genre. Throughout his career, Eno has released numerous acclaimed solo albums, including "Another Green World" (1975), "Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks" (1983), and "Neroli" (1993).
Beyond his solo work, Eno has collaborated with an array of prominent artists, such as David Bowie, Talking Heads, U2, and Coldplay, among many others. His production contributions have left an indelible mark on countless albums, often characterized by innovative sound textures and experimental approaches.
Eno's artistic pursuits extend beyond music. He is known for his visual installations, creating immersive environments that merge sound and visuals. He has also authored thought-provoking texts, including "Oblique Strategies," a deck of cards with creative prompts designed to break through creative blocks.
With his boundary-pushing innovations, Brian Eno continues to inspire and influence generations of musicians, producers, and artists. His relentless exploration of new sonic frontiers and his interdisciplinary approach have solidified his status as a true pioneer in the realms of music and art.

I wrote a book, had it accepted by a publisher, but it was two years before they actually published it. It went through 5 major revisions in that time, and was a way better book than what I originally submitted.

the magic is in the editing - I also wrote one , a first and hired an experienced Editor - she asked me whether I wanted her to review and suggest changes or take it apart. I opted for the latter which meant re-writes and deletions of entire sections - it was daunting but well worth it.

I love this. As an artist you'll have to work out what constitutes done as well as good for yourself.
