Brian Finch was a singer, guitarist and songwriter from South Africa. This Gold selling, SAMA nominated artist brought high calibre songwriting to the mainstream amassing a critically acclaimed catalogue and music industry recognition as a South African legend.
Prior to gaining notoriety as a solo performer Brian was one half of the critically acclaimed Finch & Henson. The duo presented a powerful combination of folk, and blues and went on to find successful South African chart, and sales success. The duo officially split in 1982, and sporadically reformed to perform and record. Brian Finch went onto release a string of successful solo albums, whilst Ken Henson went on to find success as a composer, and in demand session musician (notably, Steve Fataar, Syd Kitchen, Piet Botha, Roger Daltrey & Leo Sayer). Ken Henson passed away after a long illness in 2007 at the age of 60 with Brian Finch passing away from a lengthy struggle with cancer in 2019 at the age of 72. Finch & Henson leave behind a notable catalogue that can best be described as a high water mark for South African music.
