Came over to support Brian and hear his recollection of the tragic moments of last year. I'm a regular on B Friendly and he's doing some amazing stuff traveling across the world ❤ rest in peace Lazar. We remember.

Such an insightful perspective into not only crossfit as a sport and brand but also into safety and the economic backbone in elite sports. Very well done!

But regardless of a reduced budget, the one thing that should never be compromised is someone's safety.

Even if the safety budget was reduced, it was still probably higher than most other CrossFit competitions. Look at recent swim events at Wodapalooza - swimming in the dark with few lifeguards. Much more dangerous than the 2024 Games.

I often wonder how Tia is doing. She has to be aware of the fact that it happened as she was crossing. Of course it’s not her fault, I just hope she doesn’t feel any guilt.

Good question. I’d be interested in so many of the athletes‘ thoughts and experiences of that day.
