To anyone wondering why a team like Milano, filled with almost the entire Italian national team that won both the VNL and the Paris Olympics this year cannot beat Conegliano is pretty easy to understand. Italy won as a national team against other national teams but when it comes to Imoco, you’re playing against almost the best individual players from each country they’re from and almost the best in the world from each position. To me, Gabi’s the best OH in the world right now and although Zhu has been outplayed by Li Yingying, nobody can deny she’s still a very experienced and fierce player. I consider Haak to be the best OPP but Egonu, Bosko and Vargas have better national teams so sometimes people forget how good she is. Bella hardly ever makes a mistake and she has the best attitude in the world. Wolosz and De Gennaro are self explanatory, just extraordinary players, the best in their positions. So if you have Moki giving a perfect pass and Wolosz setting at incredible speed and accuary, a perfect spike’s almost guaranteed. And even when i do not consider either Fahr or Chirichella to be among the best MBs in the world, they’re having a great season and as they’re playing with all these superstars, their game just rise to the occasion. I’m team Milano all the way but Imoco’s winning every cup and we all knew that from the start. The only team that could face them is another dream team but no team in the world has that quality right now. Milano depends on Egonu, Novara depends on Tolok, Scandicci depends on Antropova, Ecza depends on Bosko, Vakifbank depends on Markova, Fener depends on Vargas, Tianjin depends on Li, Imoco could replace any position and they would still be unstoppable because their bench’s good enough to take over. It’s the players, not the coach. Put Santarelli in charge of this Milano team and he wouldn’t be able to do anything with them as well. Just like he couldn’t do anything with the mediocre athletes of the Türkiyee national team even after they buy the Cuban Vargas. Santarelli wasn’t doing anything with Imoco when he started. Only when the club had the money to buy the best athletes in the world did he make a name for himself 😂

No sé si con Santarelli le ganarían a Conegliano, pero te aseguro que jugaría mucho mejor y no perdería 3-0. Hasta con Gaspari jugaba mejor, incluso sin Egonu estuvo cerca de ganarle la final de la liga hace dos temporadas. Yo no dije que todo el mérito es de Santarelli, pero obviamente tiene mérito.

It’s basically a home court advantage for Zhu Ting. She is definitely enthusiastic and energetic. This will be a fun finals because Tianjin has LYY and Imoco has Zhu which will be both cheered and celebrated. Note also that Tianjin defeated Milano so Tianjin deserves to be in the finals. In the past, Zhu, without a star player on his team, was able to bring China to dominate the world from 2015-2019. It's so easy for Zhu to hit the ball over the opponent's MB. Icomo es una equipo tan increíble, como Santarelli estructura los equipos es increible, la verdad es un equipo imbatibles, dado que cada jugadora es de un nivel muy alto o superior, la llegada de Gabi es increible, pero Woloz tiene una visión muy crucial para mover el juego de esa forma, entiende las capacidades y debilidades de sus propias jugadoras, aumentado el pase tan increíble que le llega, la verdad es unos de los mejores equipos en toda la historia de los clubs de voley femenino.

This tournament is much more important for Conegliano than for Milano. The only thing to be happy about is that Egonu is recovering more and more, and Milano now looks much more like a cohesive team than before. These matches have been essential for setting up tactics for the future. That said, I regret that people are still talking about the national team during a tournament between top teams from different nations. Danesi and Fahr are the best middle blockers in the world today. If anyone wants to contradict me, let me remind them of all the blocks they made at the Olympics. Enjoy this great tournament and don’t think about the national team, or else you’ll hear the sound of Antropova’s serves in your nightmares tonight.

From this video clip， Zhu TIng still has whole package. Receiving, hitting and blocking are outperformed. I believe this team will win TinJing China as the two OHs, MB and setter are much more experienced and thy have height, which will block Tinjin‘s team hitter. We cannot wait for their fights.

Most Conegliano players have multiple MVP & individual awards unlike Milano who only got Egonu. Milano's open hitters are inconsistent what can you expect from Dalderoff or Sylla they struggling to score & defend it's a mismatch against Gabi & Zhu! They also need another experienced middle blocker to help Danesi

Concordo con il commento di iamwath... Il fatto è che la Nazionale italiana ha vinto grazie ai CT Velasco, Barbolini e Bernardi. Ma Danesi è inferiore a Chirichella, Bonifacio e Squarcini (Novara); Orro è inferiore a Bosio (Novara); Fersino (Novara) è il migliore libero e via dicendo.

Io farei un sano antidoping a Conegliano, le giocatrici erano strafatte di "occhi di tigre" (cit.: Julio Velasco). Mammamia Gabi che cos'è: difesa, attacco, ovunque, oltre che una bella donna. Pure Zhu è stata incredibile. IMHO il grosso punto debole di Milano, nella partita di oggi, oltre al mandar via l'allenatore ASAP se non vogliono finire peggio dell'anno scorso, è il libero Fukudome.

Absolutely Amazing Gabi but the number of Times she attacks with no block….. this goes back to a great setter ball thanks to a great first defence. The combo De Gennaro and Wolosz is really the core here. That didn’t change in years. Orro can play much better than this (several high and slow balls tonight) but hardly received a clean ball. Having said that I saw a much better play from Milan tonight. On the right track.
