Nicely done seeing as band members are from Britain and America and you have British and American films going on here. I believe the British one is a film called Kes, which is rather a sad film. Well done on this video, i stumbled upon this by chance. Great song great video

My dad died 7 years ago (aged 83), and I'm afraid my mum is about dying now (90). They used to film us when we spent some vacations somewhere in France, in the 60's & 70's. That's what I think about when I watch this vid. That music fits our vids beautifully. Thank you for the music. Thanks to my parents for the fine trip we made together

Love reading the comments and seeing how everyone has their own interpretation of this kind of music. One person might see themselfs sitting on a balcony bathing in the sun and the other dreams of rainy days and resting inside. Do it! Try caving (my own passion) you can see places few people, if anyone has ever seen before. It's cheap too and with a bit of luck you may discover a new cave or passage, especially if you go one step further and try cave diving. If that's not for you try mountaineering. Or canoeing. Or canyoning. Or whatever takes your fancy. Or just go travelling. If you go hosteling you'll find lots of friendly people who often offer help and suggestions of things to do and places to see and you'll probably find some who wish to visit the same places as you. Give it a try and you'll be glad you did.

We are a generation of nostalgia. Dreamers of memories we wish we had. Lovers of a life we wish we had. This empty modern world has robbed us of meaning so we create it in art.

Well written, and I won't disagree, as these things are true. I will add this while I'm here though; Ever period of revival throughout history can be marked in tandem with it's art. Exceptional creation that can only occur in the right environment. So from this perspective, (and hey, what makes art so moving if not perspective?) we're living trough the most defining period that's ever been. Maybe beauty really is in the eye of the beholder? I mean a butterfly is beautiful, but if you could point to the most chaotic, but most beautiful time in it's life, it would be the second it breaks out of that cocoon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/np2ai4t9adtglcU

@@PivotF00t The ontology of liberalism going back to John Locke is the liberation of the individual self from collective identity. This has progressed to such an extreme that we’ve now been stripped of every source of meaning. We’ve become a society of Neitzsche’s last bugman. What lies ahead is the overthrow of this empty world and a return to meaningful struggle.

This song makes me think about my Pa (dad) and his life growing up. Im 23 and he is 63... This music video makes me think about how my pa was once young, running around and full of energy, experiencing the world just as i am doing now. I wish i could go back and be friends with my pa and share those moments together when he was young and able to do all sorts of things. Took me awhile to realize the importance of family and im grateful for the time i have been blessed with both my parents and my family. I hope and pray i have many more years to come with my parents still around. Watching them grow old has been one of the toughest things to come to terms with. I have faith in the end we will all be together. Love to all.

Had some diving gear in the back to catch some fish for dinner, eating Abalone off the rocks in some out of the way place, not always sure if we had the fuel money to get back home. One time, we picked up a couple of West Australian girls hitch hiking in the middle of nowhere and they just wanted to do the scenic tour and were happy to pay the fuel. They were great girls, good company. We got our trip, they got their tour so everyone was happy. Saw some great unspoilt places. This song just gets into your head and the memories come flooding back. It was such a relaxed and interesting time that eventually came to an end as real life kind of took us over and we just stopped doing it.

Hey there Warrior King, saw your comment and I agree...and it made me think of one of the only other song/videos that made me feel this way. Thought I'd share it. Hope that's ok. The seventies (and eighties imo) were a splendid time to be young.

But you have to have experience of hundreds of things to be able to get it you have to have memories to be able to get it it was good memories or bad memories you can understand it but you're not going to get it until multiple things to your life you've been through figured out it rolled forward so hold onto your youth you will not get it until you get older put a few Tools in toolbox the song

This reminded me of a picture from my childhood that I haven't seen in years. It was an old, brittle sepia-toned picture, the ones where they printed the date along the edge. 1968. I was four and was being kissed by a little girl about the same age in front of a Native-American themed truck-stop diner. Vintage Americana. I was too young to ever remember the kiss, the picture has been lost for years and I'm now starting to brittle and sepia. So thanks for reminding me. It's been one hell of a trip.

This song has taken on such a different meaning in my life as I've aged through life and my career. 5 years ago I used to drive around to this song gettin the feels, of nostalgia...the open road and possibilities. That was before I changed careers into EMS. Now I'm EMT transitioning to a paramedic and I find my self sitting at my desk after a long tough shift listening to this. Today was the helplessness of arriving to an accident on the highway, involving an entrapment that we were helpless to help. They were severely entrapped and we needed the fire dept stat to cut them out and the fire dept got delayed 15min because there were 6 other unresponsive calls going on in the area. Watching the life leave that person sitting there, stuck. Not everyday is like that, there's so much beauty in even the small interactions with people. There are terrible days like today and there are absolutely wonderful days though as well. Sitting here listening to this song on repeat after a day like today has me considering just how much life and where we are changes over time. Whole new different meaning and relationship to this song now. The meaning of "so many miles on the open road" used to be about driving around pondering life and now it relates to me through my work. Everyday I start my shift readying my gear to see what the open road will offer. So many miles clocked in driving and operating on my rig, and every single mile has a story. Today was a terrible story but tomorrow I'm sure will have an awesome story. This song is the perfect accompaniment for my laughs, prayers, and tears on that regard and it's really helping me process a day like today.

This song is incredible. My feelings of complete sadness and yet complete happiness at the same time. The longing for those moments long ago with no care and just my curiosity and exploration. It makes me happy to have a song that captures the moments and yet sad that they are gone.

This song reminds me of a friend, that friend who brought a little sun wherever he went, always with a smile on his lips and an anecdote to tell ; this friend has left for this trip of which we do not return and through this song, I hope to send him the best waves on his way. Tank you for these words and this melody so appropriate with what I feel. Love, peace, harmony from France

This is one of the most beautiful comments I have ever read on here. Keep projecting love and remember most importantly to love yourself and make the best of it while here on this ride. Alas, it is temporary and just a ride- we all get on and get off albeit at different times. Keep going. Undoubtedly, there is heartache on the ups and downs of the ride.. we have different lengths of time on our personal rides, as stark as a realization that is to find out sometimes. Someone once told me living and losing someone important to you is like losing an arm or foot etc, as you keep on living but a piece of you is gone until father time heals you. Time and age is the ultimate adversary. We try to fight it sometimes but father time is undefeated. Keep watered and keep shining - as we're all just flowers in a way. Take care. Love sent all the way from Southern USA. ❤ ✌

Wahnsinn!!!!

Usually I would roll my eyes at a comment like this and think "Overreact much?", but definitely not this time. I can usually listen to other relaxing songs and completely zone out while still staying grounded in the song, but I find myself getting so deep into my thoughts while listening to this song that when it ends, I feel like I didn't even really listen to it. You're right, this song is completely mesmerizing.

Even though this song is only several years old, it almost has a timeless, 80s alternative/new wave vibe to it, I think that's what makes it so good. I think we'll still be listening to it for decades to come because of its timeless quality.

This song makes me reflect of all the mistakes I made in this life and what my life could of been if I made diferent decisions that didn't affect my life the way they did. .. sometime is best to eat all of that up and let it drown in a sea of forgotten memories . . . Even if once in a while I come back to them and drown myself deeper with them instead of crawling out of that empty hole . I can't express myself the way I want in person but I know that here nobody will judge me. Keep fighting.

Oh God. This makes me want to cry! Ìt reminds me so much of when I was a young teen in like 1973, '74. Up here in the Seattle area in summer we'd go to one of the lakes with swimming and lots of boys. Or Point Defiance Park in Tacoma and it was so good! It was like one big party there. Riding on the back of a young guy's motorcycle. Geez this one boyfriend I only dated for about a month. Because he was dumb as a post. But he was so good looking. He looked like that one Michealgelo statue. But finally I couldn't take it anymore. But it was fun there for a while! This video evokes a nostalgic mood.

This was the one song that I chose to play and post when I moved out of my flat last year, after spending 8 years there, my entire thirties, the best and liveliest time of my life, to move in with the love of my life and wait for my son to be born. This is a song of inevitable endings, unimaginable sadness, yet filled with so much promise for the future.

This song just brings me so many emotions and memories. My family and I take so many trips to Calfornia - Dineyland is our main thing, this is one of the songs I love to pla while on the road. My husband has been serving in the Military for over 17 years and was just deployed for the second time. This song brings me to tears just remembering all the good times we've had and gives me the faith to stay strong and wait for my love to come back safe and sound so we can make more memories together.

Hit the road....hit the road
