That's true. Kerry Von Erich is one of the most likeable wrestlers in the history of the business. He's one of those wrestlers who could have never been a heel. I remember one season of Tough Enough, where one of the competitors was wrestling with a prosthetic leg. Sadly, his leg stump kept bleeding because of the impact from the bumps he was taking. I couldn't help but think that Kerry Von Erich experienced something similar with his foot, which had to be amputated at the ankle. Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese also needed his foot amputated at the ankle. He dropped a heavy barbell on his ankle, and he attempted to walk on it too soon. It was an eerily similar injury to Kerry Von Erich's.

@@davequinn3484 that’s true as well about Koko- but in that particular case Koko himself debunked that it were a shoot in a rather recent interview (I think on Hannibal TV: Masked patriot beat down). He said it was a work to make heat iand that his opponent did an amazing job and that he was very thankful to him.

I love Knobbs. Kinda has a Chris Farley aura about him. Far as his demeanor. Even the way he talks sort of reminds me of Farley. Just a big fun loving guy. Also the way he cut promos. Changing his voice tons. Like an explosive intense teddy bear. Reminds me of Farley.

Jim Dugan being a badass makes sense. I grew up in Pennsylvania. My uncle used to tease us alot about wrestling and called them retards in leotards .. but he would mention a few guys who he said were legit tough guys from seeing them around at bars and stuff. L.o.d. steve blackman(local) Jim Dugan Rick rude. There were a couple I'm forgetting. but i thought he was teasing about jim because honestly jim looked like he would fit right in with my uncle and his buddies. Just loud scruffy looking wild men.

I actually live in the town he’s from. His father was the police chief when Dugan was a kid. Jim was actually in town about 3 weeks ago. He came to sign autographs and all the money went to the fire department. Jim was actually a fireman between semesters in college. They had a picture of him in his firefighter gear when he was in college and he looked like a 35 year old 😂. I’ve lived here my entire life and never once heard anything bad said about Jim. He’s beloved around here and comes back every couple of years to do something. While he was here though he had something happen and ended up needing an emergency surgery. Luckily the firehouse is only a block away from the hospital. They never said what happened but he made it out ok and has recovered.

Yeah, Jim Duggan's bar fight stories are legendary. In one fight, a brawler bit off one of Jim's fingers', he just kept on fighting. Duggan hurt that guy pretty badly. Jim Duggan wouldn't be the first guy I'd want to pick a fight with. If a saw a group of wrestlers at a bar, the last thing I'd want to do is challenge them to a fight, or call wrestling "fake" in front of them. That's just asking for a terrible butt-kicking -- especially back in the day, when wrestlers had to protect kayfabe. In the Mid-South promotion, Bill Watts told his wrestlers: "If I ever find out that you lost a bar fight, then you're fired."

Yeah, I thought that the Nasty Boys' WWF run should have lasted longer. Unfortunately, 1992 was a bad year for the WWF in terms of their PPVs, house show attendance, and merch sales -- all of which stemmed from the Feds investigating Vince McMahon for promoting anabolic steroid use among his wrestlers. During this slump, the writers didn't have a lot of good storylines for the Nasty Boys, so they left the company in April of 1993.

@Scorch1028
@Scorch1028 9 ай бұрын
When New Jack was alive, you had to take everything he said with a grain of salt. A lot of New Jack's stories are heavily embellished, and New Jack wasn't the most upstanding person. He went way overboard, when he shot on the 70-year-old Gypsy Joe. He beat that old man to a pulp. New Jack also put a deep gash in the head of the 17-year-old Mass Transit kid. He ended up with permanent nerve damage in his forehead. New Jack "lied to the judge" about what he was willing to do to compensate Mass Transit for slashing him. Sadly, Mass Transit died a few years later. So, New Jack was off the hook for violating the judge's order.

Lex wasn't always a good guy, but he is now. When Lex was in a relationship with Miss Elizabeth, he was convicted of beating her in several domestic violence incidents. Both of them were on drugs at the time, but that's still no excuse. Lex was legitimately devastated when Liz died. Years later, he suffered a neck impingement which left him semi-paralyzed for years. Since Lex has been clean, he has been a much more likeable person.
