I also don't think it needed rescuing, but Brian has been critical in the past about the lack of ambience and room sound that this record has, so I can understand them wanting to recreate something like that for this album. So far, I haven't been impressed at all with what they've done (especially with all the pitch correction they did on Freddie's vocals in this song, a complete travesty, in my opinion), so it doesn't give me much hopes. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise us 🤷‍♂

I loved Freddie’s young and unpolished voice just as it was originally, I love listening to him as he changed and grew, it was beautiful as it WAS , we still love you and miss you Freddie! YOU were Queen imo , as it began and you as it ended

Big fan of Queen 1,2 and The Miracle with Innuendo! The Night Comes Down was always some special song to me as My Fairy King! Your guitar orchestrations are something unique and everything about Queen! Will You make a remix of Going Back and I can Hear Music? I do like the improved clarity and mix. It's definitely more listenable which is the whole point. BUT for me the pitch correction is a little bit overdone. I guess it was needed in some parts where Freddie's vocal slipped, but the trouble is, when you pitch correct to absolute perfection it sounds a bit false and less natural. I hope one day producers will realise it's a good thing to let little imperfections through and not 'over-correct' to the nth degree.

To me it feels as if they're trying to rewrite the past. Not only was Freddie's voice not perfect (something you can tell more in live performances than in the studio), he also made his entire career before the advent of autotune and similar technologies, so his vocals are the result of him (and the whole band) being perfectionists in the studio and doing countless takes to get them right, and as close to perfect as possible. So them now pitch correcting everything to perfection seems pretty disrespectful to all of that effort.

Listening to this track hundreds, if not thousands of times over the years, a source of constant annoyance have obviously been that needlessly long intro, the 70's appropriate drum sound and of course Freddie's natural vocal performance which was always crying out to be pitch corrected......said no Queen fan ever.

Queen have been my favourite band for 3 decades, you've never released anything bad (even hot space is a great album!) but I think sadly the time has come where something has slipped the quality control net. The song is great, so good that the de lane lea demo made it onto the album without a re record. The new mix of this is something I think that didn't need playing with. I think as AI becomes more realistic in years to come this video will look dated. (why does AI make human eyes look so dead?) It's a big thumbs down from me, the first time I've ever disliked a Queen release. But that's just me, I'm sure other people like it. I will stick to my original pressing Queen album (Queen, not queen 1!) handed down to me by my father (father to son!) He saw you guys support Mott the Hoople way back in Dec '73 at Hammersmith and thought you were so good he knew what he wanted for xmas that year (the queen album). Please stop auto tuning Freddie's vocals. Freddie sounded perfect the way he originally sung it. I will never buy anything that has been auto tuned or pitch corrected because it sounds crappy fake. Was horrified when I heard this. Check out wings of Pegasus video it was interesting as he such a big fan of queen and he showed a way of remastering and adjusting that track properly. I hope you stop Freddie being auto tuned going forward. Been a long time fan since 1975 and met you a few times too.
