He was seeing another woman during his first marriage, and the the other lady was anita Dobson, so the song was written for that reason, plus he eventually divorced and married the second woman

Yes he was seeing another woman but he was in so much pain over it. Became increasingly depressed, wanted to take his own life , in this song he is so honest about the whole thing and even calls it a crime . Least he was remorseful about it doesn't a long time in depression over it . Most men just walk away without a second thought , Brian punished himself and we can hear the pain in his voice and all the emotions . But at Live Aid even though he had separated from his wife then, video shows he was still amicable with her and they leave as a family . Brian is an absolutely lovely person, not many feel like this or be in so much pain. Now look at him Anita brought him out of his she'll and he uses his platform to help his charities . Which he is very big one . He in turn mellowed Anita , maybe they meant for each other . What ever he still was in contact with his children and did a good job with them .He even redecorated his grandaughters room ,painted the planets by hand and by scale . During lock down he missed seeing his kids and gran kids the most . He did one mistake . He is only human

@@ChicCanyon Agreed. You've got to remember that Queen had _three_ world class vocalists in their ranks. Freddie probably was the greatest rock frontman of all time but Brian May and Roger Taylor are ludicrously good singers in their own right and could easily have fronted fantastic bands of their own. The musical talent in Queen was just staggering.

This version makes me almost cry, because Brian May puts so much emotion into it. Freddie does a professional job of it and sings from his mind and diaphragm, but Brian Goes beyond professional and sings from the depths of his soul. Easily the better version

I like freddy's version. Becaose he sings high tonalites , and has very strong voice. But in May's version you can feel more pain , emotion ... Freddy is singing in angry way.But i still like it more.
