sSo many vocalists blow out their voices early. Brian has saved his vocals and can sing as good now as he could in his 20’s. I’d not only put him up against artists his age, but I’d put him up against any 20-40 year old pop artist today. Cold chills every time I see this performance

WAIT WHAT?! Not ONE? See, this is why I don’t value the music industry in regards to what they consider talent or worthy of praise. Ridiculous. This man could PLAY the piano and guitar AND SANG 😍😩 I’m only 17 and I fell in love with this song at my cousins wedding that I HAD to know who sung it and I downloaded his albums. He’s incredible. And THIS live version proves it even further 🥺

Cloud of Reverie HAHAHAHAHAHA PREACH !!! Taylor even beat out Kendrick for Album of the Year, which is BS. Her album may have sold more and be more popular but in terms of quality, impact and relevance to real issues, her album doesn't do jack. Yeah, I'm sad that Brian hasn't won a single Grammy. But that amount of nominations alone is something else. We all know how amazing he is.

J Smooove so true me too. People think that for an artist to "make it" or be "rated" he/she has to hit Drake or Taylor Swift status. I've read here someone say Luther Vandross was underrated? I'm like whaaaaaaat? just shut up.
@JSmooove
@JSmooove 8 жыл бұрын
eWorkx BAHAHAHAHAHAHA now that's just dumb. Luther underrated??? These guys held "drake" status before drake was around lol. Time has passed and the music changed since these guys were topping the charts. I for one enjoy these "oldies" when music was music. Nowadays there's very little music with any content. But like I said, trends have changed and for what ever reason, today's music is popular. But back in my time, it was guys like this who rode the top of the charts

I don't get all those who say he still got it. He is even better than he ever was. The maturing in execution control and just sheer command of both instruments is remarkable. I don't know of any other contemporary of his who is this masterful. This rendition of this song is more evidence of his growth as it is remarkably better than the song we initially heard many years ago. That said, he does have exceptional talent within his family I believe. He is a great and I'm talking Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder et al kind of great, regardless of how one feels about his song writing. I don't think I have this level of proficiency in anything in my life.

It's undeniable That we should be together It's unbelievable How I used to say That I'd fall never The basis is need to know If you don't know Just how I feel Then let me show you now That I'm for real If all things in time Time will reveal One You're like a dream come true Two Just want to be with you Three Girl, it's plain to see That you're the only one for me And four Repeat steps one through three Five Make you fall in love with me If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one It's so incredible The way things work themselves out And all emotional Once you know what it's all about, hey And undesirable For us to be apart I never would have made it very far 'Cause you know you've got the keys to my heart One You're like a dream come true Two Just want to be with you Three Girl, it's plain to see That you're the only one for me And four Repeat steps one through three Five Make you fall in love with me If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one Say farewell to the dark of night I see the coming of the sun I feel like a little child Whose life has just begun You came and breathed new life Into this lonely heart of mine You threw out of the lifeline Just in the nick of time One You're like a dream come true Two Just want to be with you Three Girl, it's plain to see That you're the only one for me And four Repeat steps one through three Five Make you fall in love with me If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one

Yo.. my man STILL killin it!!!! I know my dude has sung this song millions of times and he must get a little tired of singing it so he gotta put mad variations and jazz it up. I was lovin this performance!! Loved the vocal runs (especially at 3:46) and jazzed up chords. Still beasting too!!

Started off listening to this thinking "oh man I have got to find the sheet music for this" and then finished thinking "nope... just nope...". How anyone can sing like that while playing that level of piano is truly beyond me. Musician through and through.

Just listening to this song brings tears to my eyes like it always had. My Lord this man can still sing & never got the credit he should have. No one out today can even compare nor come close. That 3:03 mark put me on the floor!

Those chords tho! The intro to this song is actually my warm up. It's insanely genius how he puts these complex chords together so effortlessly in his songs. I've been listening to him since I was a kid and the question I keep asking myself is who taught him how to do that? lol

"Back At One" It's undeniable... that we should be together... It's unbelievable how I used to say that I'd fall never The basis is need to know, if you don't know just how I feel, Then let me show you now that I'm for real... If all things in time, time will reveal... Yeah... One... you're like a dream come true... Two... just wanna be with you... Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me... And four... repeat steps one through three... Five... make you fall in love with me... If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one (yeah) So incredible the way things work themselves out... And all emotional, once you know what it's all about, babe... And undesirable for us to be apart... Never would've made it very far... 'Cause you know you've got the keys to my heart 'Cause... One... you're like a dream come true Two... just wanna be with you Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me And four... repeat steps one through three Five... make you fall in love with me If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one. Say farewell to the dark of night I see the coming of the sun... I feel like a little child Whose life has just begun. You came and breathed new life Into this lonely heart of mine. You threw out the life line Just in the nick of time. One... you're like a dream come true Two... just wanna be with you Three... girl, it's plain to see that you're the only one for me And four... repeat steps one through three Five... make you fall in love with me If ever I believe my work is done Then I'll start back at one.
