He Was a 2009 Grammy nominee for Best Traditional R&B Performance (for his cover of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”). Lost to Beyoncé’s cover of “At Last.” Not too shabby. He’ll get there. “Slow and Easy Wins the Race,” right?🙌🏾🤷🏽‍♀️

💯 Wayne Brady is so multi-dimensional and naturally gifted that perhaps the way that entertainment is shaped nowadays there are not a lot of outlets. He is of the Sammy Davis, Jr. type of talent level. (Perfect example is Justin Timberlake who is not really a good singer but he skyrocketed as a celebrity. He is a good songwriter. )
@paulasuniverse5029

@@joiisler3012 The example you gave is a perfect example of WHY incredibly talented people like Wayne Brady do NOT receive all of the awards and opportunities they deserve because the system is set up for people like Beyoncé who always wins Grammy Awards when nominated in the same category as people who have much higher levels of talent and ability (Ex: Ledisi … Ex: Maxwell)

Wayne Brady is tested and proven in many different ways that he is exactly a talented man but why he has to come to the mask singing competition for a package of recognition? He must be given a chance prior to joining the Mask Competition coz he has the talent, the charisma for a bigger stage. Good thing he won the competition and now is about to show the world of what he is capable of.

I don't have your e-mail. Hi Kristie and Cherry, I'm writing this letter to both of you because it's what I should do. I'm not sure what I did that may have come off like a bad person. I'm a work in progress.. I meant no disrespect by seeing Tony in Hawaii. Our trip there was for @. It was up to her as to who she wanted to see. She's gone through the ringer (all of us did) . She made the phone calls and knows that she may be disappointed by the outcome. My relationship with Tony is the same. It's ALWAYS been strange. It's always been respectful of Kristie. Not sure if you remember our debates. I always felt that my loyalty lies with my family first. It's where I felt betrayed at one time. It's not easy for me to do that but her relationship with people is different than mine. All I can do is provide a safe environment. Emotional and physical. All I ask is that you're clear with me as you'd like me to act. As for Koby..I'm sorry for asking if he knew what I did to irk you. It was my desperation to figure things out. Also be able to apologies if I did something wrong. I requested to communicate directly with Dad only out of respect for you. Many time you've been caught in the crossfire and I feel that's unfair to you. Besides, it's also a safety thing. I need to be in direct communication with whoever is with@ TRUST ME.. I totally crumble at the sound of his voice. It was even harder to see him in person. I hugged him. Lol ! I felt I needed to show that everything is okay. That she didn't have to feel guilty for loving and spending time with Dad. Also, it was in Grandma Taketa's home and I wanted to clear the air. Grandma looks older. I miss her so much. Aunty Gail was on her way with Carl to go dancing. That was super cute and comforting that she has him. I still think Carl is awkward in serial killer kind of way. @ had a amazing time. I picked her up after 4 hours and she ate ALL 5 of her musubis by the morning. I am proud of her ability to see the good and keep the faith. She loves wholeheartedly. @ had the chance to see Leanne & Lexi for a moment in line to get shaved ice. I hugged her too. Lol. @ last memory was of me wanting to beat her ass at your competition. James ALWAYS visits, Benj, Chelsea and all of their kids met up at Ala Moana. Then Jasmine and her niece Taylor?? @ seems to enjoy her company at the pool. Tony & his fiancée stopped by for a short time while @ was in the pool. He pretty much hugged her hello & goodbye. I didn't even know he was engaged until they got up to leave. She didn't say a word the whole time. I didn't put it together at all. I guess she's pretty. IDK. Tony mentioned it as he was shaking Jason's hand goodbye. I think that's it. A successful trip I suppose. Jason was the Best Man in his brothers wedding. His only job was to make sure his dad made it to the wedding. He almost failed. He also gave a funny speech. I wrote him a poem. @ sang 3 whole songs. I'm a good Mom, a good sister, good Aunt, and good friend. I'm open to ways of improving myself and take complete responsibility of my actions and well being of @. (And if course whoever kids are in my care). That's always been in our nature. Everything was going great. Why the hell would I seek out drama? I have nothing to gain. Only another loss. I'm not that crazy. My response to the text was naturally from a place of confusion and hurt. I talked about it to W & he told me you were in communication. He of course knew nothing about giving you stuff from storage because WE talked about it. Didn't know he was talking to Tony. If you remember.. I begged W and family not to get involved w/ $$$ & honor my divorce. I feel the same now. What can I do to ensure a heathy relationship? What would you need from me? What can I do to ensure @ feels like she has a strong positive family support? I've learned that texting, FB, and other social medias are a "muddy" way to communicate when it comes to matters of the heart. I only write this because my calls are not answered. I'm totally open to calling you Cherry but, I'd need the okay from The both of you. I want to be respectful of your space, relationship w/ Kristie & your privacy. I'm of course always open to you calling me. I thought we had great conversations. I hold no ill feelings. Cell: 8 We moved to a Verizon lactation in Santa Monica. Across the beach. My reception is poor. Regardless.. This is my home line & address. 1 Santa Monica Ca. 90401 (3 My first priority is staying healthy and sober from my own illness. After over a decade of BS therapy & depression.. I've learned that I have a MAJOR addiction to unhealthy people in my life. Feeling the need to "fix" them.. even if it hurts myself. A pattern that started before my generation. I'm not not blaming myself for that. But I am doing my best to change it. So far, I'm proud of my efforts. @ is a true example of that. This summer I learned that I wasn't doing as good if a job as I thought I was.. But I'm working on it. Second priority is the kids. Then family. This is where my head is at. I really feel communication is key to avoiding & working through problems. Family is worth fighting for.. We only have one chance at it. After all if the trauma in our childhood.. I'm so confused why it easier to isolate & disassociate from the people that we love the most. Even under the anger.. The love siblings have for each other is the same. Last thing.. I'd prefer not to use information from unreliable sources against each other. Hello!!! This is what messed things up in the first place. I really hate being accused of things that I wasn't aware of. Not pointing my finger at you.. Just feel a victim to that whole process. I'm only acting on what I know and have had direct communication with. I ask that you do the same with me. When it comes to US.. Tony, W, even the kids... I'd prefer to keep them out of it. It's not consistent. If you respect my journey to health.. I respect yours.. I'd like peace of mind, be able to look forward to things, and make good choices for myself and @. I'm doing my best to keep my struggles separate from her life. At the same time.. The kids grew up super fast and understand almost too much. I must be honest with her about certain things. The enmeshmeant of feelings between parents, and other adult family members is harmful. Basically... And for the same reason I worked so hard to co-parent with W (People REALLY underestimate the work & sacrifice that goes into that after divorce & shame). It is not possible to create totally separate & private relationships with other people's kids. It would be neglectful on our part. That's why even when Tony let the kids visit us at first.. I always called you to let you know where we were. Most times it turned into a fight between you & him because you didn't know. I did that out of respect.. Even with the fear of not being able to see them. & more of a fear that @ would be hurt. I am once again making @ and I vulnerable to emotional pain. That's life.. But at least it's real.. It's honest.. And healthy. I'd really value a response. Sorry for the log winded letter. I'm not a huge fan if writing letters. I hope this finds everyone well & happy. Love, M
