What a lovely humble man. Loved watching him on telly as a kid and still do on the ITV re-runs. No edge, no ego. Linda (his wife) has a successful career now as an author. Nice interview, that brought out some lovely moments. 8-)

Interesting fact about Brian Murphy, he often wore a hair piece off camera but never on camera, which was the complete opposite of just about every male actor who were losing thier hair. He seems like a very down to earth kind of guy who appears to be unaffected by fame, which is extremely rare. As most famous people who come across as friendly and approachable actually try as hard as possible to avoid any contact with the public, except for when they are trying to promote a book, film etc
