Brian Regan preforms on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. I think this is from 1999.

I'm offended by how little laughter I hear. This man is amazing.

Hard to believe this crowd is barely following this,.. i’m over here, 21 years later, just dying. Truthfully I never really looked into Brian Regan until this week. I guess when he was having his heyday I was living in New York City listening to the Opie and Anthony show and they used to have him on every now and again and especially they loved to play samples of his work or mimic him, now I totally get it. Thank God for KZbin!

I have seen him live, several times, love him. 😍🤣🤣

I think the most amazing thing about Brian is he likes himself, accepts himself and projects that on to the audience. What I enjoy most is being around someone who is comfortable with every moment of his routine and still enjoys it. That's infectious in the best way. It seems even more impressive that he has done some jokes over 1000 times and he still enjoys the audience and enjoys them enjoying the joke.

I was wondering why the audience was so quiet too. He's my favorite comedian. The first time I heard that routine I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.

he was using some of his best stuff and the audience barely reacted. what's their problem?

LOL, I totally agree, though I am just barely watching Brian for the first time here at 21 years later and I’m just dying, I’m busy catching up with all his acts here on KZbin. Yeah I’m guessing he was just sort of ahead of his time?

I've noticed stand up doesn't work in situations like this. It's awkward, and the comedian has no time to connect with audience. No matter how funny the jokes are, they just never really land. Brian did this same bit in his comedy central special and had the audience in tears.

He doesn't even have to tell jokes.or even say one word The face he makes I would always laugh my ass off when he does that crossed eyes weird twisted mouth confused stupid look. Never gets old.

Craig didn't exactly build him up in the introduction. In fact he introduced him very sarcastically. That couldn't have helped

We all noticed the crappy audience. Then again, Brian DID go word for word on a routine we've all heard before, and at the end used the "you guys are (only) 'alright,'" instead of "great." So he got THEM back! :-)

I’m thinking this particular group of people had never heard of Fig Newtons, cranberries or pancakes. Could have been that tourist group that had just arrived from the Sudan via the chicken crate section of Jolly Fats Weehawken Airlines.

I think Brian just does a lot better with his "own people" in a crowd. To me just much funnier. Maybe he's more relaxed.

people dont get that the audience at a talk show like this are often paid or were pulled in off the street tourists.. not even fans so thats why you dont get laughs like at a comedy show

what are you people talking about? The audience laughs every 5-10 seconds through the whole routine including some gut busters.

Wow - what a DEAD audience. But he soldiered on. His material and delivery were great - despite the zombies he was performing for.
