Victor the nois is from the tensioner pulley bearing, i put on two new orginal and still is on, the sound ticking, the bearing construction is so made.

Water pump bearing is defective. Noise becomes quite after warm up.

My 1990 sl500 has high idle only when engine is warm, around 1000rpm in Park. going into neutral it goes down and drive is 550. Not sure what the cause is ive cleaned the icv but im not sure how to test it
