How did it take me 2 years to find this podcast with Brian Setzer? I absolutely love his music.
@sttarch51503 жыл бұрын
I met Brian in Atlantic City after a big band Xmas show. When I told him I am a player and have 2 of his signature guitars, we spoke for a while, had some laughs, and took a pic with him and my wife. He was genuinely nice, went out of his way to connect with another guitar player, put arm around my shoulder and said, "keep on rockin" with a wink. This is a guy who loves music. Money is secondary.

@@melgrant7404 not easy to pay an orchestra and make a buck. I think he does it for the love of the music. When Stray Cats started, do you think he looked around and said, "the way to make millions is to revive Rockabilly"? He just loved it, and the rise of that band defied all expectations. He's the polar opposite of the guys who invent boy-bands or The Monkees.

@@sttarch5150 agree .surprisingly he isn't as minted as some considering how long he has been performing. But the music has been his love and life and with that bringing joy to many and that's what really counts xx

Lol. I have to admit, my first thought was why is that CNN guy on here? Took me a second, but then I figured it out. Your comment made me laugh though.

The Rockabilly genre was big in England in the early 80's.... lots of weekly acts on Top of the pops ..... and yes I thought The Stray Cats were English too.

Im being forced into a Trumper, right-wing corner daily and exponentially but Adam is one of those guys who helps me realize you have to go there with style and humor or you'll become irrelevant and isolated.
@philliphayden27273 жыл бұрын
Just be a libertarian, whether or not you lean left or right. My Mom sort of forced me into the position you are in. You can definitely be someone who agrees with many of Trump's policies without being a Trumper. I think Adam ranks as a no bullshit libertarian who leans right, but I'd bet he's a registered Democrat.
@sip52573 жыл бұрын
Democrat leadership and policy is a failure. They have some decent intentions and some nice ideas but none of it ever works in practice. They’ve proven this time and time again, years and years and years. They will never have my vote. Republicans aren’t much better but I have more faith in them actually accomplishing SOMETHING. They’re policy is reasonable, Democrats are just flat out NUTS and I despise many of their “leaders”. Just don’t vote Democrat. Never considered myself a TRUMPer but I’m ok with it. Better than the Hate America - America Last Democrats.

"the brilliant producing mind of Jimmy Kimmel. " Until he got his own talk show and then his mind started to go....somewhere unknown. I am surprised that as level headed Adam is that Jimmy and Adam are friends.
@ellencox84153 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure Jimmy just throws Adam a bone every once in awhile, but would back over Adams corpse to be paid in LA. Why anyone in this country glorifies these "celebrities" is beyond me, but I think people are waking up if the view counts are any indication.

its very hard to keep listening to the show knowing adam is friends with that marxist puppet, --Kimmel just recently said on his show that people who decide not to be injected by the government should not be allowed any health/hospital service.

Just like Trumps and Clintons being friends, it's a big (Hollywood) club and you aint in it. Both Kimmel and Adam have a core audience they cater to so they play their role. Kimmel isnt just one of the crying vaginas of late night TV, hes the biggest one.
