"Filthy, snobbish and tremendously enjoyable ... lewd, very funny, not very likeable but possessed of a festival turn of abuse ... there is something irresistible about his memoirs. It's how well they are written"
Philip Hensher, The Guardian
Outsider was one of the most talked about books of last year. This year Brian Sewell returns with part two of his memoirs -- just as riveting and scandalous as the first. In Outsider II, Sewell charts his path from 1967 to becoming one of the most controversial and provocative art critics of our time, as well as answering the questions about his involvement with the spy Anthony Blunt. An insightful, provoking, animated and captivating evening.
Note: Mr Sewell, 80 years old, skillfully navigated the freezing cold winds and icy pavements to come to the bookshop, despite being on crutches.

I simply love Brian Sewell. His incredible wit, intelligence, joy and profound knowledge of art, expressed so beautifully with language, for me transcend his occasional political incorrectness. He is capable of making the mundane and ordinary sound incredibly interesting. I only wish he would make a 30 part series focused on art and architectural history all over England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. He better get to it as he is getting on in years.

Brian Sewell, The Outsider II. Prepare for controversy. 0843am 30.3.23 he's a pastiche of the old pharts who used to be seen gambling about talkin' bollox and sipping vino. an offshoot of ye olde flaneur. and what's wrong with that...? he would, no doubt, be shocked if you served him a few dollies of yer own choice lewd amusing and festive insights, no doubt? not so much the fast bowler of mirth as the off spin of arid caddery (sic). "the voice at the other end".... did they get that witty retort? i think you either plump for Quentin Crisp or Brian Sewell. i plumped for Kenneth Clark but they stole my Civilization collection - which says it all, really... A crack legion of queer Sewell cat burglars, no doubt? Is he Michael Angelo or Da Vinci... no doubt, both!! p.s Not to be confused with olde Colin Wilson's The Outsider which most would-be intellectuals read before they formed punk bands.

@@Olafandlafandlaf Not because of what I say, but because of what The Holy Word of God (kjb) says. What I am is not important. I'm not God. Jesus is God. Read Romans 1, for example. Listen to what the Holy Spirit says. Your eternity is at stake should you miss the mark.

@@etienne7774 Correct. What you say is not important. God did not send you to posthumously judge people via youtube comments section. What you say is of no importance here. What you do is. May you live with ease.
