RIP "Barney". I played a house gig with him playing drums and wow, he was a powerhouse with rock steady meter. I'd drive him home from gigs in my Rabbit and he almost didn't fit in the car (well at least his hair ;) He was always kind and complimentary to me.

In 1987 I sat beside Brian on a flight from Vancouver to Montreal and we talked music the whole time - it was cool and he was a great guy. I'm still at it as a fulltimer in Europe.

This guy was a pop rock genius and could do it all, great guitarist and hold his own on drums, write, produce, engineer. One of those rare people.Met him a couple of times on the "Great" Canadian touring circuit and he could party like a true east coaster too.He hit his stride in Vancouver and what a whirlwind.RIP Too Loud.

I live in the USA and this guy was totally underrated as a musician. He had a lot of competition from the bands back in the 80’s.He should have been big in the States.I think he would’ve had a great solo career.Im sure he’s playing up in heaven.

I have been a MacLoud fan since around age 14. I remember picking up this old 8 track that my foster family had and all I can remember now from the cover is the word "Headpins". Anyway I thought how bad can it be and I plugged it in.I was hooked from the start The song that played first was "Breaking Down"and as a kid it sounded like a semi truck on the jake brake ( lol )

This must be a demo? Either or I’d love to get my hands on it. I love his riff at the very end! He was a one of a kind !!! Surprised they didn’t keep that in the song itself.

@myvidss So to continue my story lets jump to oh something like 93/94 ish ( bit of haze for me at that time cough, cough) In Kelowna me and my guitar freak roomate go to a local bar that at that time had live rock/roll Heavy metal bands. After watching darby mills show and closing the bar I made a comment that Id like to meet her. Out of nowhere "Slack" ( Jeff) my roomate says "I know her I'll introduce you" Low and behold he walks right up and she recognized him on sight!
