Looking back, iron man 3 was one of the best non teamup Marvel movies. It tackled actual issues like PTSD and anxiety, which isn't what you'd expect for a superhero film. It also was I think one of the only movies (except Thor) in MCU where the hero has to deal with not having their powers. For a film about fire breathing people and guys in high tech suits, it's also surprisingly grounded in down to earth issues and situations not just in the realm of fantasy. Good job to Shane Black (I think, again) for creating such a good film that mixed together reality and fantasy perfectly

It just evokes a powered-up amalgamation of the feel of Shifrin's Mission Impossible piece, Norman's James Bond jazzy theme, Mancini's elegant jazzy Pink Panther motiff and, pererhapss weirdly, the image of the three guys with saxes dancing in unison in Shake A Tail Feather from Blues Brothers!
