Brian's whole life has been steeped in tragedy, and too many parasitic humans have used his vulnerability to take financial advantage of him through psychological manipulation. Brian has a real Artistic soul and a very special sensitive person, who has struggled a lifetime to control his demons. It's an embarrassment that he never had a single person to look after his well being and help to keep his finances in his pocket and not in the pockets of everyone else. If his own flesh and blood (Murray) is prepared to ruthlessly steal from his son, what chance does poor Brian have?

When I saw him live in Dallas for the first time in 2000, during his Pet Sounds tour, I thought that might be the last time I got to see him live. But I saw him 4 more times after that! Also, going back to 1976, who would have believed that guy would have lived until 2024?

@ENigma-um8zw 3 жыл бұрын
Same, looking back after this last year and a half plus now, I realized, and I’ve seen hundreds of incredible artists and even did see Carl era Beach Boys in the early 90s with my cousins but seeing Brian Wilson perform the entire Pet Sounds (not to mention a first set chalk full of those Endless Summer classics, everyone sounded and performed excellently) and then to sit down and hear and witness the writer and creator and producer and original artist perform arguably one of the greatest collections of songs/albums, of all time, if not for sure the rock era. As others have called him the Bach of rock, i felt like I knew I was experiencing something people In hundreds of years would have used a metaphorical time travel token to experience themselves for which I was and am so grateful to have had myself. It became among my top 3 if not favorite ads well live concert ever. I cried like 7 times. God Only Knows was a doozy, thankfully for the first set I got to get my ya yas out and dance in the aisle as the median age of the show was about 20-30 years older than me, an ‘85 baby, ofc there were many other young 20-30 something year olds, but I could tell Al and Brian were actually getting a kick out of seeing me uncontrollably dance, Its one thing to respect people behind me and also those that can’t or couldn’t stand the whole show, but it’s hard not to dance dance dance, and I was also on mild substances but I was respectful and mindful. But I saw Brian smile at me, and I may have shook BB kings hand after a live performance he gave in the mid 00s and is considered my greatest hand shake, having Brian Wilson SMiLE at me, is hard to top :D Sorry for the rambling mess there I got on a roll lol, peace love mercy health vibrations and joy to all of you still reading!

I'm 77 years old. Your gifts of your music carried me through some very happy and sad times since I was a child. I wish you or you and Al could get a group of attractive women and men to do all of your music once again to your standards of beauty so the next generation could experience what I experienced. Thank you!!! for being you.

Man I’ve loved hearing both Brian Wilson and John Fogerty doing short set lists on the Rolling Stone KZbin Channel in the same week. Thank you Brian for sharing some of your music with us to get us through this awful pandemic. Hope you and Melinda, and the rest of your family are safe and are getting through this! You are a true genius and your brilliant music will live on forever! Contemporary pop and rock music owe a lot to you Brian! Even Paul McCartney agrees!

Music is a healing agent and the best "immune booster" ever invented! Going to listen to "Pet Sounds" today with my pet, Lucy. Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for sharing your God-given gift. Amazing how all this "distancing" has brought the artists we have loved all our lives closer to our hearths and homes. I've been marinating in "everything Linda Ronstadt" these past few months after seeing her documentary, reading her memoir, and watching the Kennedy Center Honors. She has said that 90% of the music she has made in her life and most enjoyed was performed in "living rooms"-hers and those of her friends. Always wanted to be a "fly on the wall" to watch their creativity and community flourish. Well, this is so much better...we've actually been invited in! Thank you, Mr. Wilson, for your hospitality. Wish I could've brought you some nice Italian pastry from NY!

I’m eternally grateful to have seen him and band perform the entirety of Pet Sounds, knew I was witnessing and hearing a live performance that people in 100 years who aren’t even born yet would have wished they could have seen. Not as a brag thing but as an awareness of that gratitude. I’ve been enjoying a lovely re-re-return-renaissance to what undoubtedly will be an eternal legacy of Brian and the brothers-Wilson and The Beach Boys’ music and incalculable impact on artists and in popular culture.

Something about this small recording just warms my heart (no matter how cheesy that sounds). This man persevered. Gives me hope to see that even sitting at home and playing a piano can brighten so many people’s day. Love you all.

I have loved Brian's genius from the first time I heard Surfin. Thank you Brian and Rolling Stone for this video. It's made our day and helps with the sadness we feel as we watch our beloved country suffer from this crisis. Brian your bringing this small bit of happiness is very uplifting. God bless you!
