As a hairstylist: This video was a delight. I had too much fun watching this. I fucking loved the mullet and the bowl cut. Was it "how it's supposed to be done"? Of course not, but I'm not here to judge, I just think it's fun to watch people experiment with their hair. A lot of clients assume I'm going to judge them or kind of...look down on their efforts if they do their own thing with their hair. But I don't get anything out of critiquing it, and it's YOUR hair. I just happen to know how to do it professionally. But this was fun. You're the type of client I'd love to have because you're not uptight about your hair. "It's just hair" is the right attitude to have. EDIT: Also, the last cut is actually really easy to salvage and make look awesome. She snipped a bit of a "bald spot" in the back, but I would just do a fade with maybe a 1 or a 1/2 guard and fade that up into the top, and have it be disconnected. Finesse the top with a little more blending and trimming and It would look really good! Nothing to worry about at ALL.

@@taritangeo4948 boo, you shouldn't wash your hair more than 3 times a week. And you should use conditioner every time. Shampoo strips all of the good oil from your hair. Conditioner adds some back. If you conditioned every day, then yes, your hair is going to be too greasy. Once you get in a habit of washing 2/3 times a week, and conditioning it every time, you will not have that problem.

i feared the mullet. it looked too good. the ponytail made him look like a french revolution lad about to cut me in an plague ridden alley in a good way. if i saw that in a grocery store i would be thinking about it all week. haunting. I like doing huge chops in my restroom and having my friends and family dismay and then all agree that in the end it just looks better when its short.

So brian, as someone who has a very similar hair texture to you, the shag/heavy layered/mullet lite look has honestly changed my life. it perfectly accentuates my waves without a ton of extra product (most days i just do a moisturizing spray) and without really having to blow dry to get it to behave. if it air dries, 9/10 times it looks amazing and full as long as i part it in a way that works with my cowlicks
