A big part of it is that it is a completely flexible sandbox , and it has a huge range of available resources, both from Bohemia and the Community via the workshop. Maps for all over the world, and conflicts from WW2 through to the Present and Future. Combine that with the ability for the end user to create any kind of scenario with any kind of assets. From Solo to Small scale co-op through to large scale multiplayer.

When we play you can only use first person mode. If you can see the enemy, the enemy can see you. we take it in turns to design missions.

@Brian Menard, I love that you're playing this game. The main campaign isn't the greatest but is alright. I absolutely LOVED playing the Apex campaign. Some good stealthy missions and overall felt a little more forgiving and less tedious. I wasted a ton of my life in co-op on a mod called Dynamic Recon Ops where it randomizea your objectives and locations and everything. You can even play it alone with AI squad, but co-op was amazing. ❤️

Some missions were pretty hard ! And, to be honest, the single player campaign is sometimes a bit wonky with a rather unreliable save system. Still loved it. Tip: after a few missions, make a manual copy of your ARMA3 save files/profile just in case.

yo brian you should check out mike force in the arma 3 launcher, its a vietnam server and its so sick. theres tons of AO's you need to capture defend and all that. bunch of different objectives and stuff. i think you would dig it man!

I bought the game and nearly all the DLC and still haven't played it. You need to take some time to master the controls and haven't got round to it. I might play it this weekend.

🤣 what does sucking at shooters have to do with being a combat marine which I was. Real life shooting and combat shares 0 in common with combat in a video game. I’ll take it you were a noncom/POG if you think that’s the case because they were the ones that had time to sit around and game all the time while we were out on patrol 🤣🤣. I didn’t have time nor did I play any games while I was in for 13 years so no i might not be great at shooters but again that’s not real life lol.
