I read self development books in the morning, then my fiction books at night/any other moments of calm I may find in my day. You adding your budgeting into your videos really has inspired me to make 2023 the year my husband and I really take control of our finances. We’ve always been pretty happy go lucky with our money, but we went from both working pretty good paying jobs when we had no kids to much lower incomes after having the kids and now we’re not in the best shape financially. I’ve found a budget spreadsheet that I really like and we’ve decided to sit down once or twice a week and really keep a tighter grasp on ourselves

I love to organize and condense after Christmas too - especially the kids toys/clothes! You are fright - it is so satisfying haha! We typically take down our Christmas stuff between Christmas and New Years - just depending on our work schedules and making Sure the kids are occupied with TV a play date or something haha! Love the budget tracker - and I agree , it’s important to reflect back on previous years for that month - it helps set the realistic expectations of where you need to fluctuate the budget!

Can you show us more of videos of what you do for meals for the family/during the week vs. weekends? Our grocery bill is roughly $800 and we’re only a family of 3. Would love to see dinner and breakfast ideas!!

Honestly, my main focus is on dinners. Breakfasts and lunches are kept simple, and nothing really changes from a week day to a weekend. I use a lot of coupons that I get sent in the mail or I use digital coupons on my grocery store app to help. I don’t buy anything more than what we need and what we will use. Grocery prices are young right now 😭

Love your videos! I’ve been feeling so motivated to get organizing done too! Budgeting wise, where do you pull all the “extras” from? Like getting your nails done, getting new clothes for yourself, random Target runs etc. Does that usually come out of the projected savings portion? Not being critical, just genuinely curious! That’s a great question! If I get paid more than my projected income, like a cookie order I wasn’t expecting or a sub job I wasn’t expecting than I will keep that for myself get my nails done or buy clothes, etc. I hope that makes sense! I see it as a little extra to treat myself ☺️

Hi! I found myself curious to see where your budget ends up at the end of the month, compared against you budget at the beginning of the month. Also, how you split up your savings at the end of the month. Have you ever thought about adding it to your videos? I like budgeting and putting my savings into high APY accounts to earn more money in interest every month. 😃

i love christmas but my girlfriends and i all kind of freaked out about taking down decor pretty much the second presents were opened. i don't know what it was about this year, but i wanted it clean and bare as fast as possible. so strange! i bought my husband some brightroom kitchen organizers for a new years present ! (highly recommend a new year family present- i love doing that so you all get intentional about one thing that's useful. it makes a resolution all the more doable)

Great question! Yes, we have a savings account for the rollover. Our cars our paid off. I do have student loans, but payments have been deferred since the pandemic. Currently waiting to see if I will receive loan forgiveness.
