Reading thru the comments at 7 AM on 7/29 I came across a lot of negative ones. If you can’t say something positive say nothing. Brian works very hard, long hours. From a fellow farmer!

That Fendt tractor looks so cool & powerful fitted with those LSW tyres. Even if they don't aid traction, ride comfort & decrease compaction they just make you want to get to work in that tractor. 🥰😍

I visited relatives down in Brown County Ohio, over the July 4th holiday. On the night of the 3rd they got an 1 1/2 of rain. Then more rain on the 5th. Their crops really needed the rain like yours. They are 70 miles south west of you so I do not know it you got much of that rain or not. It will be interesting how the newer Ideal works in your corn and soybeans. We demoed one in the fall of 2022. It really struggled in the green stem soybeans we had that fall. We plugged the combine right behind the rotor several times. It really sucked cleaning it out. When we switched to corn it did a good job. We hope to get another Demo this fall to see how the updates work out. We liked the grain sample from the Ideal.

I’m late to the party, but you’re talking about the seeder vs a planter. We’ve had very good luck with 15” wheat in central Indiana using a 1790 Deere planter. Just food for thought. Thanks.
@CreativeMindsetGames
@CreativeMindsetGames Ай бұрын
It would add a step and consume some time, but you could consider harrowing the straw after combining and it may help the seeder get second crop in. Just something to consider. Thanks for your videos Brian!

Up here in northeast Ohio, they kept a rail line because it had several industries at the end that could still use it if they wanted to. Ohio Rail Commission generaly keeps tabs on what might ne needed, also it's cheaper for RRs to take a line out of service than fully abandoned it, that way they don't have to spend the money to pull up the tracks.

Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ and Dad. Was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Appears the Fendt combine is doing great. You are knocking down the wheat in good order and the combine has no problems. Sounds like your dad is enjoying the joystick control. Neat. Hang in there Bob. Sounds like your seeding double crop is going ok. You are moving right along anyway. Hot weather everywhere it seems. 91 here in Iowa. I also watch a Montana farm harvest wheat and been 100 everyday out there, wow. About it I guess. Thanks for everything Brian. You all hang in there. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍👋✅🇺🇸🇺🇸

I’m surprised the farm doesn’t have more wheat acres. It probably contributes about as much as your row crops per acre without the input cost of corn and beans and you get a shot at a double crop. It’s good to diversify though I suppose…

Complaining about only doing 100 acre's per day, whereas you were doing 150-60 with the two machines, is that a fair comparison? Same number of hours per day? How was the wheat yield in previous years, 100bpa or 60-70? Makes a big difference. You put in Estes concaves, XPR2 or 3? 3"s are supposedly quite a bit better than the 2"s. Less power consumption among other benefits. Run the machine at 100% power, if there's very little grain on the ground, why not? You'll get more done than if you run at 80 or 90% obviously. Should have gotten a 10 instead of a 9 if you want 1 machine to equal 2 class 7 machines. But you got a good deal on the 9 whereas with a 10 maybe the good deal wouldn't have happened.
