I'd never seen one of these before. Very neat for this application, though it seems limited compared to a more traditional power rake.

Nice tool. I think of it as a power rake but built into a bucket frame. And the bucket can add weight to help you dig. Nice.

Total score on the bucket rake combo as a finish tool! Even with out being able to adjust the pitch left/right for fine grade I know - and have seen - operators that can work magic to get the grade they need. As I am sure you already saw that pulverizer drum will knock down and mix it up and then the bucket to cut/fill material. Now I want one for the JD tractor at the farm.

Great looking fleet of little yellow tools. Perhaps you could paint the same yellow on your truck, either as a overall color or at least one of the stripes. Considering the circular YT channel logo your stripes could be the yellow, green white of the logo. Additionally, custom 3-color decals could be applied to all of your equipment as a company emblem. Wishing you and your family a blessed autumn season filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother

Neil… I like it! Those carbide nubs are perfect for pulverizing clumps and clods. I can hardly wait to see how they work in dirt and grass. You didn’t show it but, there is a feature of that design which could real make it superior to a Harley rake. Having the front edge of the blade with you on each pass allows one step leveling. Going forward, you can shave off mounds. Reverse gives you the ability to do my favorite leveling technique… back dragging. I think that as you get into rougher areas, on future jobs, you’ll find the same. Congrats on your acquisition. I hope it continues to meet your expectations.
@digdrivediy2 ай бұрын
Indeed! I have a lot to learn on this thing. I did get to use it a bit in the dirt yesterday and it is a game changer for clumps and clods. I'm really trying to learn and understand how to use it in forward vs reverse. But what a cool piece of engineering and a great way to have the best of both a power take and a bucket in one! I'm sure we'll get to see the dirt features on display soon enough! Thanks as always and have a great week Dave!

After seeing that thumbnail and the clip at the end I can't stop thinking about how great your F750 would look in JD construction yellow for the cab with a gray bed! It would match the rest of your equipment so well! I do think it's kinda cheesy sometimes when you see non John Deere mowers or golf carts painted Green and yellow but you've already painted your 318 a color other than the original so it feels like your color to me!

This may just be a simpletons understanding from life experience….. A dealer can beat things like that because it’s all about customer service and sales. A dealers volume means they can get better that MSRP so that they gain the profit margin. The more they sell, the better a deal they can get, the more money they can make. A good sales person that really cares about customers will extended as much of that deal as possible. A good sales person can also assess when a possible loss on one sale can mean more dollars on future sales. Take care of your customers, be honest, and give them the best deal possible will always bring customers back and bring in more customers. I have also found that folks in construction/Ag equipment sales and rentals really understand this (genuine care and quality customer service) far better than anyone else.
