Thanks for another great video Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. The scarecrow seems like it is not going to make it to Halloween. Leaning over pretty hard. Watch out. The hydraulic hose on your tractor and seeder. My guess is your hose coupler on the tractor is simply worn out and needs replaced or the piece on the hose is worn out or has a slight bend in it, will not stay coupled that way. Needs some attention Brian. Not trying to be picky but I would either blower off my tractor or seeder real quick before putting away. Hate to put away dirty machinery. Or do a quick rinse with the power washer. Just a thought is all. Looks like Dad is moving right along with the combine and beans. Lots of bean dust this year it seems. We found a place on our combine to put a Milwaukee leaf blower. Use it to blow off the combine and header every so often. Just an idea. Sorry you ran short on seed. Sometimes hard to judge what you need. We kept a book on each field so we could judge for the next year or so. About it I guess. You all take care and be careful. I see the beans spilled on the ground. Fairly big pile. You dad mentioned he misjudged the unloading auger. BUT must have been the grain cart DRIVER fault- ha!!!!!! All for now. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Rolling would be a great job for Mrs Brown . I think she would enjoy it . If the coupler looks good, then change the barrel on the tractor. Take care and stay safe !!!!!

Had the same problem with the hydraulic hook ups in the Spring, but with a JD. Had to replace the "barrels" on the tractor. I will bet that you have the same thing. Likely the exact same cheap 💩 barrels, but you pay plenty for them!. Great video!

Check if you have a blown O-ring and backup-ring in that PB coupler. Often time it's just in the inside of the coupler where the male meets, other times it's in the casing assembly itself (more work. Might involve or contain working-words). 👍

Remember with train signals - you are only seeing ONE direction. There is a signal light that is separate for the opposite direction that you can’t see for obvious reasons - (so there is no confusion…)

Be aware of the land blowing when using a land roller . It's really bad when you're on the sandy soil and you're going after you have planted. Until the crop comes up you're very very vulnerable and if you have it planted there isn't anything you can do to stop the blowing
@stevebiddle891216 сағат бұрын
Another good day. I’m surprised that you didn’t change the coupler. Have a great week and stay safe.

Here in Sweden, we usually hold off land rolling winter wheat until spring. Then we can restore bad root/soil contact and push down popped up rocks, both caused by the ground freezing during the winter.
@LesPaul-w4j34 минут бұрын
You shouldn't need GPS to plant,what I usually do is put the planter in the ground and drive back and forth I started doing that when you were still a twinkle in your daddy's eye awesome video bj keep up the good work 👏

Land roller is an insurance policy for rocks getting in the combine . Only time your at risk of rocks is if your picking up a crop that's fallen over and you gotta scrape the ground with the cutter bar
@BrianTangeman-tz3dxКүн бұрын
Depends on the size of your rocks, we got some big guns here in places because of our glacial soils.

Proper RTK is sub inch repeatable year on year. Web run a network that covers the mainland UK.
@nerd819222 сағат бұрын
RTK = Real Time Kinematics. If you are not getting an RTK signal then maybe there is a base station local to you that is not working or the tractor is not getting the signal from mobile data or sat. I am not a farmer but I worked for a company that had an RTK network in the UK. My original background was in IT but I tried to retrain into Ag Engineering, difficult when you're 38/39 and everyone else on your course is 16/17.
