Excellent bit of reversing, always like it when lorry drivers have a go instead of not trying. I was taught by an old lorry driver whose motto was, give it a go you'll never know your limitations if you you don't. I see so many lorry drivers today, who look like they only like driving in straight lines and need a space the size of a football pitch (soccer in America ) when they reverse. And if it's on the wrong side, god forbid. Look forward to you laying rock on the roads, don't forget your camber. 👍

Thx for the raised garden update and allowing us to see the BTS on your base building for when your future dirt moving project gets going. The 555 looked a bit more nimble without the backhoe bucket and good tire pressure …the luxury seat is definitely an upgrade over a 5 gallon bucket or an apple crate …sorry, tuff luv (or actually brotherly affection) just slips out sometimes.

I remember when I was a teenager, we had an old diesel Ford tractor that we fought with for close to 10 years probably. I remember the sound of that tractor engine turning over with a hot battery and it sounded exactly like yours. They moved away after my dads place of employment closed down and a couple of years later they decided to sell the house and auction the equipment off. Well as luck would have it the starter let the smoke out while moving implements for the auction. Bought a reman starter for it and the engine spun over about twice as fast and to my amazement fired off without starting fluid or jumper cables for the first time that I could remember since we bought the place. might not be the starter but sure brings back memories of curse words and the occasional kick or two. lol

DP hates being a truck driver so it's great to keep your hand in great video thanks Mike good job by the way
@tbix19638 сағат бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. If the load count seems a little light it’s probably because you were hauling legal loads vs the requested DP loads. From DP’s last video he was kinda amazed how much power the tri-axel has hauling stone when it’s measured out at the stone supplier vs his estimate. Always thought estimating random piles of dirt was one of DP’s super powers. Recently saw an add for a phone app that calculates the volume of a pile of dirt by simply recording a video of the piles perimeter with the phone camera while walking around the pile. Some how calculates and creates a 3D cartography style drawing of the pile from the visual input and then calculates the volume of the rendered image. Very cool if it actually works correctly. Maybe DP needs a version that he can record the before and after pictures of where he’s digging from and the calculates how much he took away and put in the truck. Probably simpler to put a load cell in the truck bed. After saying all that nonsense I’d like to say the raised bed garden looks great. Wishing you and your family the best.

Drill for the bolts between teeth in the tooth bar and put in those in addition to the cap heads and you probably don't need to weld the bar in. Occasionally its nice to have the smooth bucket. An hour to pull the bar once every couple of years... cheaper than a second bucket.

8:09 Recently saw the sidewalk/ramp pour the other day on Matt's channel when they poured the ICF pool walls. Wasn't expecting a full concrete pad! The surprise changes just keep on coming! Edit: My mistake. The concrete pad is by the pool. I initially thought that was over there by the sidewalk and ramp. The pool looks pretty good!

Goodmorning Mike! That's a very smooth looking machine! Was it hard to adjust to the lack of the " floating/self leveling " bucket pin mod that the rest of the equipment has? 😂 I remember jumping into my first brand new tractor and had to re learn how to shift without all of the slop and worn out parts hahaha! Have a good one!

That stuff looks like it would make awesome bricks if you screened out the rock first . And yes , the fastest way to find all the traffic in the world is to have to back in or out of somewhere . For added difficulty and enhanced traffic , have flashing yellow lights . Someone should do a study on the curious attraction of pedestrians in a parking lot , to back up lights .
