I've had the idea for this video on my mind for some time now. And I finally got a minute to just let it rip. I hope this comes off as encouraging, highlighting the opportunity we all have, and not as discouragement. My heart goes out to everyone out there trying to make a living. It ain't always easy, and you have to grind grind grind. But this video here talks about the reasons so many fail, and I just wanted to give a forewarning. You can do it, just give it all you got!

Good advice. One thing I would add. As a landscape management owner for 38 years, take care of your physical health as well. Over time, eating well and staying fit will increase mental and physical productivity. You aren't young forever. Yesterday, to maintain my health, I pruned 150 low growing yaupon holly in three hours. Good work out for a 65 year old.

Brian, I am 31, working a sales job, not making the money I want. I did my partying in the Marine Corps and unfortunately didn’t have much of my 20’s to be able to follow my dreams. My 30’s are for building my empire and my wife is on board. Your videos are really helping me. Thank you very much. I can’t wait to build something next to you. Keep up the amazing work!!!

I've been in the lawn service business for over 25 years and every year I want to quit but when I saw people lose their jobs for no reason, I said to myself hum I better hold on to it.

Adan vald Contreras correct, the maintenance of repairs on equipment gets expensive. Just driving to jobs and estimates costs money in gas and time. Gotta account for that.

Great video! Very cool! state permits, county permits, city permits, sign permits, license plates for the trucks, all cost money. if you have employees, workmans comp cost money too, guys get hurt, maybe sue ya. mind boggling paperwork! i heard about a limo company in a big city, his building burnt, all his records were on his computer in excel files, and he had no back ups, so he had no records of his customers. so he just shut down the business.

Another thing a lot of people don’t tend to think about is safety. When an employee comes to work, he knows he’s gonna get paid whether the company is making money or not. The employer might not even make any money for himself for the first 6-8 months.

4 cuts for $100 lol. I complain about my bi weekly customers only being bi weekly which are $100 a month. That’s wild. I’d much rather drive there 2 times for $100 than 4. Much less cut it 4 times. And yes. I have weekly customers for $200. And you live in a richer city than me. Your people must love you!

Good friend of mine just quit. Got the 9-5. Making good money. I told him that he is not a sell out because it better for his family. No weekends no rain day's no customer that didn't pay. You know how that goes. I'm sure. It's not really for everyone.
