Hey Brian, first off love the videos, secondly I’m a little stuck, I’m 16 and looking to get into snow plowing. I’m currently just shoveling driveways, but might be wanting to get into commercial accounts. I know at that point I’m going to need insurance and I’m wondering do you think it’s possible for me to get the insurance that I need as a 16 year old?

I modified a plow to mount on my zero turn and it actually works great! The maneuverability is the best part and you have control over both tires like a diff lock. The weight is all the the rear as well which is a plus. Hey Brian! I love your content I’m 16 and I just bought an 02 f250 with a Meyer straight blade. I’ve only used it twice but I absolutely love it! We used to use snow blowers but man is the truck a game changer! Thanks for all the info keep the videos coming!

We run Westerns and they have performed well for us. We have a local dealer which also helps for acquiring replacement parts like cutting edges. Definitely prefer the V plow over the straight plow because we have to deal with a lot of drifting snow. Great video Brian!!! Appreciate your dedication to making such great content.

Watch Stan dirt monkey's video on the western cutting edge. He recommends replacing with a winter equipment aftermarket edge that lasts much longer.

Is there a reason to reverse the whole length of the push? In other words, (in my opinion) - start and push in forward direction, turn around and push in forward direction back to start. I would think you could reduce the non productive time by plowing in both directions. Understood, short pushes - but this seems quite far.

My previous employer ran mostly westerns, I prefer boss because they are all interchangeable from around 2000 to present) vs western that has multiple different wiring harnesses. I prefer my DXT but straight blades definitely have there place, they are cheaper up front, cutting edges are $100-200 vs $450+ and there are less moving parts. For a fleet I would have 80% straight blades. I also only get an avg of 55 inches a season.

U said no wings on the 9.2 worried about the width....people drive payloaders with 14-16 foot boxes during snow. Should be good with a 9.2 and wings lol.

How are you liking the F14? Was actually looking at a pull plow or compact loader with a snow box. I saw the f14, and now I'm torn on what one to go with.

Great video Brian really enjoyed it! Any plans to get a backblade for the new truck when it comes in? It seems like you could really benefit from one especially with all the loading docks
@BriansLawnMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
I think so! It would be awesome to have the new 180Z on the back of the new truck, and the original Drag Pro on Thundah for the residential rig!

Hey Alex, we actually ended up postponing it until later this summer. Cost was up due to inflation, and we just pumped the breaks. Hoping to break ground late summer though!

A few questions Do you spray either Pam cooking spray on the blades or do you apply that wax that they talk about. I have 20 accounts and I can make about $700 each snow fall. If I have to salt, then the price goes up. I am charging $25/bag and everyone if fine with that. I ma sure Toro is good brand I use Aarien snowblower. I got a $3500 36" snowblower for $1200. That was a steel.
@BriansLawnMaintenance2 жыл бұрын
I do not personally do any pam or fluid film on the plow, no sir.
@billhull68422 жыл бұрын
@@BriansLawnMaintenance ok Just something to think about. Pam cooking spray works good and keeps the snowblower from clogging up in wet snow. It is cheap and easy to use.

$399 for existing and then $449 for residential. This year it was $449 and $575 for new signups!

@@BriansLawnMaintenance I'm a little confused on how you make money on 575. Not to get personal. So let's say I was charging 575. Is that per month for residential or per season?
