Very well said. I did a full load test today with EV ZLX 12p playing compressed EDM and got 4 hours and 55 minutes. Having said that I wouldn't rely on this as a primary solution, that's just not enough head room for me. I will keep a pair as backup incase the power went out in the entire venue.. I would say with the speakers I used it could easily do a ceremony

Have you tried it for Ceremonies as yet? If so, what were your findings?

Why not use it to power your uplights to convert no battery light to battery uplight
@flyrobin25445 жыл бұрын
However its used its good to have backup power sources available, it just gives me piece of mind. In Florida the lights shut off sometimes just for a minute,that shuts down the controller and I need to reboot. With a backup power source,I'm up and running fast feeling proud that nobody felt any uncomfortable delays.

This has really got me interested. I'm sure there are several dj's who immediately ordered one. I suspect the feedback will soon start coming in. Thanks for the videos you did on this!

I should know better. People see & hear what they want & it's not always particularly what showed anyone or said :P

Thanks again Brian, and thanks to Howie for the informative answers in the comments. I was wondering, in many of the reviews of Yamaha speakers, I the phrase, “they sip power”. In your experiences, what are some of the most energy efficient speakers and is it possible that you could test one of the stronger Omar systems with it? Thanks again for all that you do for our community.

Truth be told, they all sip power these days. Class D digital amps are just chips. The bigger more powerful speakers will suck more juice than the smaller less powerful ones. I'm thinking using the Omars on this EKX 12P was pushing the limits. Take a less powerful 10" cabinet & you'd probably go much longer for battery life.

I have the Maui Go and it perfect for me to power up my 2 shure mics and my Go Rack. Ceremony system for sure. Ive been doing a lot of outside ceremonies and just a few weeks ago i must have ran about 175 feet of extension cords to reach the location. Thanks for the video.

@Walter Salvatore i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

I ordered it's big brother. I have the JBL self powered ENO one's and I'm gonna use this for only lapel mics. Should be more than enough for two mic receivers.

I'd love to have one of these powering my dj controller. I guess it wouldn't have a problem powering something like a ddj sx.

I wonder if it will power a K8.2, it’s a power hog.

Why do you and Howie feel it shut down when the Evolve was plugged in? After your last video a bunch of us discussed the many options.. Wondering if the next size up Omar at $110 would power the Evolve??
@howiedarkstar5 жыл бұрын
It's the subs capacitor tank circuit, the inrush current exceeds the capabilities of this unit, the next size up may work. Again these were bought to power a laptop and a controller in my case and a laptop in Brian's case

Love the content man, question, how do you think this will work on a qsc k12 for an out-door ceremony? Anything under 2 hours for cocktail ceremony combo? I hope you get to test it to the max, take your time man!

I don't know. You'd have to test it

I wonder if these Omar battery will be overkill for a 30watt Par Can that can last 7 hours alters.

Probably going to be terrible advice; but if that's the only Ryobi tool you own, maybe look into buying a new Craftsman leaf blower and selling the Ryobi and it's kit; yes, you'll end up losing a little money on the deal, but that way you won't have a single use battery platform
