If I was 10 years younger and watching your videos, I'd seriously be considering a career in the medicine field. Not only do you make these injuries (and conditions) easier to understand, but you're doing it in an interesting way that makes me want to study even more about it. I'm positive not a lot of doctors would be able to do that. Kudos.

Cole Lutz yup, that’s why you shouldn’t wear braces like that unless instructed to by a doctor
@kaarelkaarelson45096 жыл бұрын
There isn't a worse first world problem than ankle sprains... come on, do you think kids and people in Africa roll their ankle playing football and basketball??- No, because they don't wear some dumb thick ass rubber under their feet. They are fully controlling their running technique and where they are stepping- because that they are constantly working ,,All'' of their feet muscles, which results in more balance and efficiency. So they know how they are supposed to step and run, not like someone who puts some heavy ass ,,basketball shoes'' with a 12+ heel to toe drop on their feet and runs with a sluggish form, constantly heel striking. Adding ankle support fucks you over even more. Why do you think Steph says that he would rather have no cushioning in his shoes at all, huh?? Or pro lifters preferring to be barefoot while lifting? There's a reason and a good reason.

Serena Williams suffered a pulmonary embolism in the early 2000s while playing in a tournament. Then after her baby was delivered she had yet more blood clots, another pulmonary embolism. Her doctors had to do an emergency c-section when her heart rate dropped. The next day Serena was having difficulty breathing and told them she needed a CT scan and heparin which she had been on after her first PE. Sceptical that she could diagnose herself other procedures were done wasting precious time. Finally the CT scan was done on her lungs showing she had several blood clots. She was immediately given heparin. Unfortunately her severe coughing from the PEs caused her incision to open up. The doctors did stomach surgery and found a huge hematoma. Serena was put on bed rest for 6 weeks. She almost died due to having to diagnose herself in spite of her past medical history and being off the heparin needed at the time. Even after diagnosing herself her doctors weren’t convinced. Unbelievable. My main surprise was an amazing athlete who practices and plays so hard, also dances all the time, like Serena having blood clots at all.
