At 48 years old and a business owner, I respect this young man a great deal. Our twin sons are both in our business, which is skilled tradesman line of work. Proud of both of them, and looking at Brian I carry a sense of pride for him as well…..“If that makes sense” 😁

“Economical”….lol. Yes, many boots are decent leather upper material using cheap construction methods and base materials. A great example is the Red Wing Weekender Chelsea. Love the style, and the leather is great, but they are getting away with robbery charging $250 for a stitch out construction with mediocre soles etc

Hard to choose between Iron Rangers and 1000 Mile boots. I am a Red Wing man myself. At 1 point, i had 4 pair. 2 work and 2 nice. Iron Rangers can be stiff new but a good and reputable Red Wing store will oil them up. Best to wear them in hot weather to break in, the heat makes it all more pliable and the leather absorbs the oil and sweat better, causing it to break in better, in my experience. I think that the Iron Rangers are just a real good boot and not to discredit Wolverine(they're from Rockford, Michigan) but they seem more dressy and civilized compared to the Iron Ranger, which was a Miner's work boot in the Iron Mountain Range of Michigan and Minnasoda. Their construction of double leather toe cap and heel were esrly forms of "safety" features (under hunnert piund rocks and ore carts, stepping on timbers high up in the stopes) They, because of that, i think are tougher. I've had mine from the sands of the Great Lakes, to the ice of Michigan to the rocks of Texan Desert, sands of Arizonan desert as well. 7 years. But these days you can buy them off the shelf and or online. Back when i bought mine, Red Wing needed a certain number of orders from across the country to do a production run for their customers. Back them days, they really were a hand made boot. I had to wait about 4 months for them to be made and then a few weeks afterwards. Now, they keep different sizes on the shelf in trendy malls. My right sole is about 1/8th of an inch longer than the left. You won't see that anymore.

In my opinion your videos have a perfect formula. The music just works with your look and feel. I get that For craftsman type videos there is an interest to be immersed in ALL the sights and sounds possible (hence the interest in “no music”). It could be interesting. Keep up the great work! Oh. And by the way. You DO have a gift!

Always great to watch a craftsman at work. As a boy, I was sent to a tiny shop where an old guy repaired boots and shoes - pick up repaired shoes. Always fascinated me how it was done. You have great skills. Keep the good work and the videos. All the best from Scotland.

I like your music, and I enjoy all your videos. My dad was a shoe repairman and a pastor. He learned the craft as a young man in the early 1950s and set up shop various times as a side income in small towns long before the internet, so his clientele was very localized. I enjoy seeing you work and all of your machines, as I remember Dad using those same machines. You have a wonderful calm and patient manner. Thank you for your videos.

Hey Brian, don't try and fix what isn't broken. For me the music you play adds to the overall vibe of your videos. It gives an insight into your character and your love for what you do.
