Until a verdict is announced, Trump is 'innocent until proved guilty'. If he is found guilty, he will be convicted. Some criminal convictions bar people from running for (or holding) office, but others do not.

As an I American, I'll explain it to you. Trump is running for POTUS so that he can pardon himself from upcoming convictions in federal cases. Americans don't understand why Trump is the apparent Republican Party nominee. From what I can tell, neither does the Republican voting base understand why they've chosen Trump.

A lawyer can’t threaten a jury and should be in contempt of court. Influencing a jury is illegal and can be a separate charge after the trial is over. Trumps lawyer is being a bully and is scaring the jury to vote innocent on all counts. Donald Trump knows he’s guilty and is scared the verdict will be guilty.

Oh, 100%. I don’t think Blanche would actually handle the case the way he has, for any other client. Bc they would want their lawyer to do what he/she thought was best. Trump wants his lawyers to argue the case the way HE wants it done. That’s why even lawyers with once good reputations as excellent lawyers, get involved with Trump and say outrageous things. (Such as, assassinating a political rival possibly being within a president’s official duties…)
@kait6994
@kait6994 6 ай бұрын
@@michaelblankenau6598I mean, it only relates bc Trump, knowing that there were multiple criminal investigations into him, decided to run for president. So, talking about his criminal trial, where lots of elected Republicans have shown up to, ultimately will lead to discussions of politics. Though, this case is actually already about politics. Trump paid the hush money to keep the story hidden to keep it from coming out before the 2016 election. Listening to the evidence, Trump is obviously guilty. If his supporters would set their own bias aside, and actually look into the criminal cases against Trump, they would realize her is NOT being persecuted.

@@stephaniemercer9321Even if Trump is 100% innocent the legal conduct of his defence team has been disgraceful and embarrassing. Did you even watch the video? It's got nothing to do with anyone's opinion of Trump that Todd Blanche broke conduct by suggesting to the jury that they consider the punishment; we don't have the exact quote but depending on his wording that could be interpreted as a threat or else intimidation, but at the very least that suggestion even without intimidation could potentially tamper with the jury's perception enough to get the whole case declared a mistrial. I'd call for sanctions and consequences if it was Biden on trial, or Obama or anybody. This has nothing to do with Trump. It's to do with the sanctity and reliability of court process and the jury.
