Mmmmm. That bass is popping! I got a double LP for Christmas in the 70’s called Disco Fire. Yup. This was on there. Those miscellaneous albums were the precursor to Spotify “based on” playlists. I still have the record. And this song ALWAYS puts me in a great mood. 🔥🌸 Thanks .

I was a kid when this was popular. My older sister liked dancing to it. And I've always liked it. The name "Brick" came about because one of the band members parents were having some work done on their home. Bricks were stacked up, and voila! They had the name...

Yes, I LOVE the extended version with the great bass runs by Ray Ransom! Brick's other James: Dusic, Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody, We Don't Wanna Sit Down, We Wanna Get Down, Push. Great rollerskating and dance songs! We JAMMED to those songs in the 70s!!! Lead singer Jimmy Brown plays sax, flute and trombone! WOW! Brick's mix of Disco and Jazz (Dazz) is legendary!

Yes. I jammed to Brick in youth in the 70's when Funk was king and Ohio was Funk Central! I leaned the saxophone back then and realized that the sax and flute had similar finger settings, so I learned flute, too! Thus is also the song Ice Cube sampled for "No Vaseline."
