I got about 100 of the 75345 but Lego decided to remove these from the retirement list :( Probably not the best investment but i payed only €9,00 each so there will never be a loss ;)

Except for some of the sequel trilogy battle packs, they're bangers. Out of 25 sets from 2012 to present, the average annual return is 83% from a breakdown I did.

I just buy battle packs to part out because I don't like investing in tiny sets that I have to sell in a high quantity i rather by a low quantity high price.

Great analysis...I do not invest in battle packs. I am usually in the $50-120 range. Sometimes up to 150 or 199 if I feel the set will be in high demand

There was a nice article in the New York Post about you today. I did not know about the interest in legos from collectors. Best of luck!

They are over saturated but like the famous battle packs from the 2010s those took many years 4 or 5+ years to jump to their crazy value. If Lego ever stops making clones for a while like they did then battle packs will be worth your investment

Great video as always Shane! Appreciate the thorough analysis.

I enjoy seeing your opinions on these Lego sets value. I mainly just collect and only sell few Lego to fund future purchases.

I'm gonna put extra large helmet holes on the sides to decrease the resale value

I don't buy small sets like these to resell for more money, I buy them for the parts.

The thing thats keeping me from investing in lego is the fact that everyone does it these days. The second hand market is flooded with lego. Sometimes I think theres more people buying as an investment than buying to keep/ play with. I do enjoy your analysis videos though 😊.

I think that is an assumption that many people make, but ROIs are still really strong. Look at Police Station, Thors Hammer, Birds of Paradise from 2023. Retired just a few months ago and immediately selling for crazy good ROIs. If the market was saturated, that wouldn't happen

@@BrickBucks I understand but let me refrase,I'm worried it would take to long for my stock to sell between all the other listings of people who are doing the same thing like me. I know you're the expert and I'm probably wrong. It's just how it feels to me when I'm on the web's different market places, Lego everywhere. No disrespect, I watch your videos to learn.
@BrickBucks7 ай бұрын
@@Treayom yeah it's normal to feel this way at first. Only after I started selling LEGO did I realize how easy it is to sell LEGO online. Before I started selling, I didn't believe that the demand would be strong enough when prices have gone up. But the demand for retired LEGO still surprises me to this day

Bought 3 of theese for investment. 501 best performer other around 50-100% not bad. What is most enoying - all that packing and sellin small sets. Thats why i dont buy it anymore.

Looking at the new wave of Star Wars coming out in the future years of new movies and new shows, and the latest battle pack being off of the Mandalorian show we may see a big layoff from likes

Does the amount of sellers on amazon ever influence your decision to buy a set? It does me. I don't like seeing Amazon on it and 100 200 other sellers. Saturation to me.

Yes for sure

What do you think about retirement vs savings? A model example: Captain Rex Helmet is not retiring this year, but you walk into a local store and they have 8 boxes (in perfect condition) for 50% off! It is hard to ignore it just because it is not retiring... Would you buy? I would!
@christopherdrakes57796 ай бұрын
So the argument is that most sets seem to increase in price to the point where it is worth selling after 1-2 years. At 50% off, the captain rex set might increase by 200% in 3 years, which is a phenomenal ROI. If the S&P500 gives 100% ROI over 7 years, buying the captain rex at 50% off can give a 4x better ROI than the S&P 500. That is insane. Buy Buy BUY. Assuming you believe it'll increase in price. And you can probably guarantee you can at least sell it for its RRP price
