To me the side by side comparison to source material is a game changer for Lego reviews. Other tubers would always compare and complain about the accuracy without any visual evidence and I always wondered why they couldn’t throw up a quick photo to make their point.

Disagree, honestly. The hull of that old ship is a full facade, it’s just folding panels over a core that just presents as what is isn’t. Thus, I just prefer the solid building of the modern Scimitar’s design, over the vastly too large 2011 set.

This set is awesome! I had the original from 1999, but this is a big step up. Always good to get a Darth Maul minifigure! They even have the double red lighsaber even if the scene in the movie didn't have that.

Best Lego review video I've seen on youtube! Not only are you fair and honest with the positives and negatives of this set, unlike other channels who absolutely exacerbate the same complaints we hear from lego sw fans, but your editing might be some of the best I've seen on youtube. My biggest issue is the lack of Maul's hood, but besides that I really like it, especially since I don't have any sets from episode one, and getting Qui-Gon which is one of my favorite characters is great. It definitely could have used one or two more minifigs to justify it's price tho

I love the idea of this set, I feel like the execution was just fumbled a bit. My personal bias is telling me I would rather grab the Ghost and Phantom II set, even though it's considerably more expensive than this one, and it doesn't have a special Minifig like Saw. Another excellent video, I can't wait to see what other sets you cover throughout the year!

I just got this set for 15€ without mini figures. The bump in the middle is easily modifiable, and the ship looks much sleeker once it's flattened out. If you already have some of the minifigs, I can defenetly recommend buying a used set without them for a much more reasonable price, the model is really nice!

I thought there is no cape because of the interior space being small and Maul with hood piece would not fit. But he fits perfectly. I actually don't understand why LEGO did it. Also, the nose bump is so unnecessary. I figured a little modification (adding just 3 pieces) in a few seconds. No problem at all, play function works still the same way. And it look so much better it feels almost insane.

I have this set and one thing I really don't like is how short the landing gears are. The entire back half of the set will hinge on a small corner the 4x4 round plate instead of sitting flush with the surface. The closest solution (without modification) I've found is having the whole gear and feet extended vertically.

I loved the video, just a bit of feedback (absolutely no hate). The box design section was actually super interesting and I enjoyed it, but it felt kinda off topic. Most of your reviews focus on the set itself, and the purpose of the video is to learn about the model to help decide to get it or not, or just to check it out. The box part felt a little random

Some people consider it false advertising and find it a big deal. I myself couldn’t care less, but I still pointed it out for those who do. On the box it’s a bit brown ish, when in real life it’s a bright sand color. (Which is more accurate anyway)

I understand all your points (positive & negative). I'm not going to say I agree with everything you said...but, I'm certainly not going to disagree. Regarding the 'bump' along the top of the fuselage, although it would eliminate the ability to open the top, I think it is probably possible to "lower the bump", making it look more accurate. As for the price, I think a part of their reasoning has to do with one specific figure - Saw Gerrera. The probability of this figure increasing in value is virtually guaranteed.
