Why exactly is that? Is it because TV's are somehow "better" than monitors? What makes them better? Because, if I'm not mistaken, a monitor is just as good as a TV for playing games, and often times you can get a relatively large monitor that's beyond 60hz for cheaper than you can get a relatively large TV that's just 60hz. This includes resolution, as 4k monitors are generally considerably cheaper than 4k TVs. Sure they're smaller, but desks and desk chairs exists, and those can be just as comfortable as a TV stand and a couch. Your comment doesn't make very much sense when you break it down, not sure what you had in mind when saying this.

Just a suggestion this happened to me. Wasn’t playing games or anything was just browsing the PS store and the console locked up then cut off. Was doing this same exact thing where I would push the power button and it wouldn’t do a thing at all. I eventually unplugged power completely, let it sit for 5 minutes unplugged then replugged everything back in and it worked. Hope you get it situated!

Mine was on some BS one morning. Almost got to the menu, then powered off. Wouldn't turn back on. Plugged it back in and after repairing the external HD the screen just stayed black. It finally worked after a reset. PS4 did this sometimes too so I guess the PS5 can get goofy from time to time as well.

i’m not a tv person i use a monitor and i’m sure that monitor he got has a high refresh rate and low input lag meaning it can handle the high fps the ps5 can load. some people don’t care about graphics as much as performance depends on the person.

Mine would do the same, I had it connected to an extension and then switch to the wall outlet and hasn’t done it since. It’s the lack of power supply necessary to boot it up instantly.

Reset the box. On the old PS4, you would have to hold down the power and the eject at the same time until it blinked. You can hard restore the software this way

This happened to me after I installed a new SSD drive inside my PS5. Once I took it out, everything was fine. I guess I just need to invest in a different drive, but it was still incredibly frustrating to deal with; this console was $600 when I purchased it. I still love it, but I have to admit that I have never had this problem with my Series X, not once.
