Roofing aside,it grips my shit when people keep telling you, you should be doing something,or using this, or using that, when it comes to building work, you have been doing what you do for many years, and you know exactly what to do,that is why you do the outstanding work we all see on a regular basis, to me they are insulting your intelligence, and should stop, so keep up the great work you both do, and take no heed to those know it all’s,

Fascia board corners: if it's not too late you can mitre the corners and put a mitred return on around each side. That would look neat (and far better than what your house builder left you). Alternatively, the plastics places you went to should have moulded outside corner covers to cover a butt joint and make it look neat. They should also sell end-stop covers to cover the bare ends of a board.

If you want to really see a mess then there is a big one across from me those so called builders have no clue and i do not know much about building except what I have learned of here which is good at first they just put big wooden stakes in the ground and then put boards on top and this was to build upto the second floor after a few weeks of building this extension they suddenly turned up with spirit leavels then onto the second floor and they were working of step ladders then they made another wooden stage to work of then all of a sudden scafold arrived I love watching you two profesionals it makes up for them .thanks for the video

Good effort lads. I can do a roofline like that in no time but I've just done some brickwork that took me 2 days and I think you would've knocked it up before your first morning coffee! You learned something new, had a bit of fun doing it, all done correctly, what's not to like well done!

You can attach some roofing batten to the side walls to give to something to affix the soffit to btw. Great stuff either way.

quite a lot of the so called self build seemed to like the gable end corbled out, roughly in the 80,s 90,s, must have been the same architect firms doing the drawings bit of a pain at times but I suppose they thought it looked like you put your own mark on it, when I worked for a small builder, I always made sure the building or extension was perfectly square then we sort of mucked in with helping the joiner out and luckily one of the mates was a roofer so we were always learning, good job guys

It will take years to get Gleeson to resolve those regulation issues with the council. They Stormed off a new estate here for 12 months in the hope the council would just accept the things they refused planning on, they didn't! Had to come back and submit revised plans for gravel drives and street drainage before the stop notice was lifted by the council. First 6 homes were sold twice and were already 16 months old before someone actually moved in. All the houses built have 5 year clauses on them that stops the buyers from making any modifications on them, presumably to ensure they are in the clear should any other issues arise with builds when things are modified.
