The last time I spent 5 dollars on Lego from eBay I got 3 ninjago sets and an agents set but not all had mini figures. Plus a bunch of vintage Lego. All totalled 7-8 pounds with free shipping. It was one heck of a deal. I've found lots of deals like that on eBay, you just have to look around and be patient with it.

Politely educate the seller. The plates are nice pieces to get, especially the pink one and the tall angled one. Tiles are always nice to have also.

It’s a lesson - lots of sellers like this don’t have knowledge of LEGO do they don’t care until people complain enough. I was wondering why they would even sell it at that price - they probably made $1 after fees and shipping. But the main complaint I have is that you didn’t compare it to a quarter pounder. 😜

When looking at old lego, something I would suggest is looking specifically at old themes that are not popular. I've been able to buy some sealed legends of Chima stuff brand new for close to retail price with free shipping. Got a set from South Korea and it got here faster than even some places in the US.

You made a big deal about that Forestman head for $5….there is a ComicCon Venom that is ~$1 for the torso and legs and about ~$600 for the head! The head is the only exclusive piece. Unless it has the card which is also exclusive and bumps it up another ~$100-200. You just never know with Lego what could become valuable. Enjoy the hunt!

I think when you compare it to the other stuff you can get on ebay for $1 this isn't too bad but in terms of what you could get on bricklink, then your losing out real bad. Not to mention the parts were damaged or not even lego!

Contact the seller about the non Lego in the lot and the damaged parts. Sometimes they don't realize that the pieces aren't Lego.

unfortunately you way overpaid for 1/4 lb of LEGO. That amount should have cost you $1-$2 at the most. Forgetting about the chewed pieces and the non-LEGO. eBay sellers are so overpriced it is crazy.
