I notice you gents just use the tip of the strongboy , is that OK, I tend to mess about getting it stabbed all the way through the wall,, but then the ones I hire are mostly bent so the inner leaf is not getting g full support ? Any tips here ?
@SteveAndAlexBuild2 ай бұрын
They’re not designed for that . They are designed to keep the acrows away from the wall to allow more room to work 🧱👍🏽

Why was there no lintel above that window, was it like that when it was built?
@jjfarrell93492 ай бұрын
There was an arch which should have taken most of the weight, and the original wooden frames would have been structural which would also help take weight. Replace it with a non-load-bearing window and damage the arch while you're doing it, and you've got trouble.

Good if you sit at a desk every day, but if you spend your whole waking life lifting heavy items then it’s not really relevant. A good night’s sleep is far more beneficial in that respect.

Chaps, 10ft 6x4 is that all.....? Some of the pre-cast and reinforced, Boot lintels we use to put in, would put that minnow in the shade.... Those "Bas*ard - boots", were nothing to boast about, they are part of the reason I now walk with a stick. Was that arch a "relieving arch".? or was it just relieved to see you? Pukka video as always chaps. Carry on - and be careful out there on sites. 😁👍🧱🔨
