Awesome plane. I'm from the Netherlands, so the A-10 has become a rare sight to me since they've left Spangdahlem but it was awesome to see and hear their guns firing at the Pampa Range in Belgium. The only thing better than the A-10 model itself is the bomb loader. :)

i know this is 3 years old, but just came across it, lol. they built the A-10 in my home town, all 716 production aircraft were built in Hagerstown, MD. Fairchild also built the C-119 and C-123 here. i was born too late to see brand new A-10, the plant closed shortly after production ended in 1984.

+brickmaniatoys I have a small bone to pick with you. I bought this kit for my birthday and i was deeply disappointed with the pilot mini figure. On the cobra you get 2 full 360 degree printed mini figs and its less than half the price. With a kit of this stature i would expect a very nice mini fig but all i got was an olive green torso and a single chest piece sticker for details. This in my eyes is unacceptable and a very big let down. I know it is one of your most expensive kits and you wanted to have the price somewhat affordable but even with your PT-109 you gave 13 fully detailed figures!!!! Thank you, Chandler England

The A-10 came out before we had the ability to custom print our own minifigs. That's the difference.

These kits are great, however, the price is just WAY TOO HIGH! I would love if you guys made little battle scenes to come with the kit. It would be great if all your super high end kits came with extra figures, guns, crates, and build able play things.

Viktor Suvorov Lego is expensive as is. Making custom kits and gathering parts is time consuming as well and definitely not cheap. Also designing this things takes time as well. Have you ever made a moc of yourself? If so, you would understand why this things are expensive. If you think prices are way too high (which they are I agree with you, but I also understand why they are that expensive) you should attempt to make one of your own and see how much $ you spend.

Thoroughly enjoyed building this kit. It is well made, Sturdy and looks beautiful. just a shame it does not come with or dance. Brickmania need to create an weapons pack that can be used with the morden combat aircraft kits. I'm now waiting to purchase the Harrier and F15 Strike Eagle in July.

The A-10 Thunderbolt ll was design, by the then Fairchild Aircraft Company. After they won the contract from the USAF, to built a close-air-support aircraft to take on the Russians, in european theater back in the late 70's to 80's. At that time we were in a stand-off with the USSR an it was well known, by the Western powers that IF they attack us they would use a mass tank force thru eastern Germany, too take the other half of Germany. The A-10 was built as a tank buster which it proved, it could do in "Operation Derset Storm".

We're a premium aftermarket producer and there's no legitimate comparison with our kits and official designs. Brickmania has released (and sold) sets bigger than this for much higher prices in the past. People will pay more for sets of superior quality and non-"Juniored" designs. LEGO sells to the mass market, we are an elite brand that does not cut corners for price point.

Why is this set and all of your other sets so expensive? You keep talking about keeping the price for it low however official Lego sets with the same piece count cost 4 times less than what you are selling it for. For the price of $500+ you should really include more than just a plane and instructions for the "extra" stuff. I mean for that price you should include a whole hanger for it and multiple mini figures plus vehicles.
