The old Star Wars sets were very blocky, and it's a shame that the gungan sub didn't come with Ob-Wan, as well. The Star Wars sets have come along way since then.

The stickers are from a thrift store. I'm sure someone bought each of those sets for $5 at some point.

I have all of these old 99 star wars sets (pretty sure I have the whole run). They're all just mixed into my parts bins though, the builds aren't very good and I don't display Lego like you do. I remember reading through the comics and building all of the alternate builds for them, it was very challenging for me as a kid and a lot of fun. Now all of my Lego is sorted and my kids play with it along with the newer stuff, which is muuuuch better

I suggest using steam or a hair dryer (not too hot) to help remove the price tag sticker

Around 18:50 into the video, you mention getting into the Hulkbuster set. My question is: Will you build it per the box instructions or will you ( Please God ) build it from the Rebrickable build by Ransom Fern? I bought the Hulkbuster set for that exact purpose. It's sitting in my backlog. I would love to see you take this on, and give me a sense of what I've got myself into. Cheers to you, and Thank You!

Had that sith infiltrator as a kid! I'm pretty sure those are the probe droids.

These builds look less detailed than the late 1970s space sets. Why? A very small amount of GooGone spayed on a paper-towel, not the part, will remove the glue with a bit of rubbing. Just be sure to clean it with a Windex or plastic polish after you use the GooGone.

Hi Bricksie. Those old sets from 1999 were really lovely sets at that time, and make for an interesting historical aspect to your collection. Please find shelves for these pieces from Jonathan. I think it's good to have a look back at Lego way back then. My grandchildren are privileged to have all the sets we bought their parents. They love visiting us because we have all the building instructions, plus many catalogues thay they enjoy looking through. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

Who ever put those super tacky price stickers on these print parts should be held accountable for crimes against the geneva convention (LOL). I bet if you soaked those parts in warm soapy water with blue dawn dish soap and gave it a light scrub it would remove more of the residue.

It's wild to see how far sets have come! The instructions have been really improved too. It's too bad Lego has moved more to stickers than printing parts.
